90's Music Tournament, nominate your faves now !!!!!!!

Clashcityrocker

we'll get on with a 90's tournament right away, just like with the 80's you can nominate 5 songs you like for the tournament. it will be a 128 main draw if there are enough songs and if there are more we will have a qualifying tourney first. the 90's list from radio veronica will then determine who gets in right away and who will play qualifying. let's nominate :)

5 again only 5:sad: It's impossible:hysteric:

Okay so I'm nominating 5 that loads of people will actually know. Many more far better songs have been written, but they'll get knocked out in R1 because hardly anybody knows them. Here it goes.

The Prodigy - Firestarter
Nirvana - Heart Shaped Box
Weezer - Buddy Holly
Smashing Pumpkins - Today
Gin Blossoms - Hey Jealousy

And here are some ideas for nominations for those that can't think of 5:
Beck - Devils Haircut
Alice in Chains - Man in the Box
Dee Lite - Groove is in the heart
NIN - Hurt
Bloodhound Gang
Lenny Kravitz - Always on the Run
Ricky Martin - La vida loca;)
And the greatest song ever dedicated to underwear Sisqo - Thong Song:rocker2:

Specially for Adamski: Chesny Hawkes - The one and only (it's 91, so go nominate it again)

Bon Jovi- Bed of Roses (1992)
Deep Blue Something- Breakfast at Tiffany's (1995)
Bryan Adams feat. Melanie C- When you're gone (1998)

So many bad songs have been entered :o

The fact that they are bad in your opinion doesn't make them bad songs. That's the beauty about music, everyone can pick what he or she likes and enjoy it. For instance, you nominated Savage Garden songs. I for one agree but my dad leaves the room screaming when he hears them. His personal opinion doesn't make the band or the songs bad, it just means that he doesn't like them which is a different thing.

The 1990s were of course full of hits and I don't think it's okay that people nominate some no-name songs, including 5 songs from Aqua ( :help: ) while the real classic like Fatboy Slim's "Rockafella Skank" is missing.

Also Eminem's "My name is" and The Fugees "Killing me softly" should be in the draw - classics.
