Poor Santiago

Second best result of his career and no-one on MTF, the most influential tennis forum in the known universe, pays ANY attention.

I hereby apologise to Señor Ventura for this regrettable state of affairs.

You should all be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves.

Yes, cos that's the thing to focus on, to hide your shame at the extreme disrespect you have shown him today.

Santiago :worship:
Credits to him.He is playing some good tennis lately,it's not easy to come back after injury. He was 0-3 down in the third, but he never gave up :hatoff:
His game is perfect for clay,he is patient enough, has a solid strokes, esp. backhand.

Martin usually is playing solid tennis in Valencia.

Well he was playing solid tennis until the rain delay and it looks like when they came back, he was not doing any longer. So what you gonna do, eh....

Great result for him, especially because he looked doomed after the set and a half but then the rain came down...

btw BP ventura 2/2, beto 3/16

I really doubt he could pose a threat to Almagro tommorow.

Dumb dropshots after a 2 shot rally cannot be described as patient.

Missed the breaker and 3rd set because ES time schedule ran out, but good for him for coming back. Not surprised given Martin's lack of wins this season.

lucky one, santiago

The smarter player won, simple as that, it´s not like saving break points is always a matter of luck

Not a surprising result and scoobs, since when did you bother with low level clay events?

Nobody started a thread on the Roitman choke against Korolev, did they?

I do watch and pay attention to these "low level clay events"

As for Roitman - throw me a frickin bone here - I started this thread to keep you lazy lot up to the mark, I'm not going to do all your jobs for you.

Shape up or ship out, people :)

Surprise to you and many of the others on here I wasn't online when this match was on and Sylvester was busy doing other things, and not every single match deserves a GM thread.

Can you start GM thread about Futures qualies results now. :)

Martin will kick himself but I like Ventura a lot more, he could actually go somewhere if he learnt how to play points properly.
