Yes, this could be said to be a clear victory for Navarro Pastor the serve/volleyer who makes his 2nd ATP semi at the same place where he made his 1st one.

Roitman failed to finish the job yesterday, but Navarro didn't.

Good job, Iván, I don´t like him as a player but he´s absolutely making the best out of his abilities this week. I wouldn´t be surprised at all if he even manages to win the event

Lucky losser in the SF, OMG :haha:

He must love playing in Valencia, I would move there if I were him...

Vamos, beat Starace or this Granollers-Pujol (another x-one  ) and you are in the final :yeah:

I think he will have a very difficult job if he comes up against Starace but he's on form.

Only time I ever saw Navarro was at Wimbledon, he looked comfortable there. Too bad for Evgeny.

Yes. He has his best results on clay, but it's not a surface that fits his game.

Ivan  Evgueni :(

Wrong imo. It´s obvious he serves very well and he´s an excellent volleyer (the best among Spanish players by far) but I think he´s a weirdo in this concern as he can´t defend shit from behind with his poor groundies on fast surfaces. An ultra slow court like Valencia has is good for him on his return games and gives him a lot of looks on them he wouldn´t get on other conditions.

yes, i think clay is definately his most comfortable surface, he can move pretty well on it too.

I'd agree that as he does have ordinary groundstrokes, but obviously he moves well for his size around the net, he can usually stay in the point long enough and then move to the net.

Fact is there aren't many people that play like Ivan on clay, and players aren't used to it, so it helps him. He is the Spanish version of Mr.Kremlin Cup, though a slightly inferior version.
