I think Roitman was injured, he led 6-1 *5-2. There was also a big delay at 6-1 *5-4.

Good effort from Korolev though :hatoff:

It was insane, even on the livescore board  he broke Roitman twice while his opponent was serving for the match. Wonder what happened during the long delay though.

I see. I thought it was kind of strange. Roitman then should have retired. He didn;t win a game anyways. Why suffer?

He will have a tough match vs Pastor, he's a pretty big hitter and is very comfortable on clay.

Roitman  What a guy  Not long ago he was leading 6-0 5:2 against Massu and also lost match wasting 7 match points. Now 6-1 5:2 :o
This guy is bigger choker than together Mathieu and Blake :p ;)

welcome to the clay season

So true.

Yeah, Roitman isn't very lucky... I remember when he led Massu and was giving him a beating in Vina. Then he got injured and had to retire after the TB.

He also choked the match against Hartfield at BS As. If he had won that match I think he would have won the tournament. He was leading 4-1 and 40-15 in the third, and lost 7-6. This was awful.

I talked with Sergio about the Massu match at Bs As, and he said he was already injured from the first game of the second set, but that is not excuse for losing 7 mp

SErgi youll rock at Roland garros :rocker2:

Roitman, injuries notwithstanding, has a history of such losses. The most spectacular was leading Albert Costa two sets to love and a double break at the FO 2003, when Costa was defending champion, and somehow contriving to lose.

Congrats RMK, that was a remarkable comeback. Both Korolev and Roitman have done such a reversal in the past. Now please Korolev, go get a serve.
