Starace poses a threat to most under-peforming players, and it's good to see him notching a win. It's been a while. As for Verdasco, I didn't see the match, but it's possible (going by the scoreline) that he went out less tamely than he did against Simon last year.

Starace could do some damage if he held it toghether mentally on clay, he gave Federer a shock in rome last year. Im expecting him to do better this clay season than any other.

The latest I've seen of him was in Acapulco? Where He played a great match against Ferrero and showed He can play great when he wants to!
