Byrd 04-10-2007, 12:11 PM Almagro looking impressive again in the clay season, one to watch & avoid if your a player. Jimnik 04-10-2007, 12:13 PM Hajek has been demolished again. What a surprise. Almagro could definately be a major force this year but he'll have to play more consistently than he did in South America. Potentially, he's a top 5 dirt baller. scoobs 04-10-2007, 12:14 PM He's defending champion here so he needs a good week - and lets hope 12 months on he makes more of a general impact on the clay - QFs to Federer in Rome was his best showing in an otherwise pretty low-key season last year, and losing to Blake at RG - oh dear. jazar 04-10-2007, 12:45 PM anyone who draws hajek can expect a result like this. if almagro sorted his attitude out a bit more he can really be on of the great clay players and he would be more liked as well Alvarillo 04-10-2007, 12:51 PM  a lot of points to defend these weeks good luck nico! Voo de Mar 04-10-2007, 02:59 PM 16 aces on clay, no BPs faced. Impressive. Hope he's gonna have even better claycourt season than last year 16 aces in 7 service games (2.28 aces per game) - that's impressive :yeah: The Pim-Pim's record of 51 aces = 2.21 aces per game :D Merton 04-10-2007, 03:02 PM It can be hoped that he will be a force in the second week of RG which was expected last year but not delivered. He engaged in a macho competition with Blake to prove that he can outhit him, then deservedly lost. It is a question of maturing for him, he can certainly be dangerous for everybody if he becomes more mature. Kitty de Sade 04-10-2007, 03:03 PM Impressive performance- good for him. :yeah: W!MBLEDON 04-10-2007, 03:06 PM Hajek...? Who?! Haha. Only joking. Darn, I wish the scoreline was the other way around. I hate this Almagro punk. Fingers crossed for early losses in MC, Rome, Hamburg and RG. shotgun 04-10-2007, 03:07 PM He's defending champion here so he needs a good week - and lets hope 12 months on he makes more of a general impact on the clay - QFs to Federer in Rome was his best showing in an otherwise pretty low-key season last year, and losing to Blake at RG - oh dear. Not that low-key considering he climbed almost 40 ranking spots in the clay season last year. Burrow 04-10-2007, 10:39 PM Not that low-key considering he climbed almost 40 ranking spots in the clay season last year. Exactly what I was thinking, He could be very, very dangerous at roland garros, especially as an unseeded floater. Wouldnt federer and nadal like to avoid this guy. | |
