Tough starter for Haas who has had a couple of poor tournaments but he should win this.

Just had a look at the field, very weak, if Blake and Roddick don't get to the finals then they might as well stop playing. Really not bothered this isn't televised - no one is playing i'm interested in. Eight seed is ranked 52 in the world!

Querrey`s game really suits to Haas great return game, so i guess he will finish him in two sets, though it will get closer than in their previous meeting.

I've never seen the Houston surface, but if it is like Amelia Island then it is more like hard , so Haas

Querrey should not be expected to fare well on clay.

I think most likely Haas will go through easily, but I'd still like to see this one. Querrey's a great kid. :)

Is it just me or is Haas' scheduling poor?

When he was playing out of this world earlier this year in the US he went to Dubai just before the two masters series', came back to America and dissapointed in both of them to be honest - didn't look the same player.
Before hand if you knew Federer would lose early in both then you would've fancied Tommy big time at that point.

Now he plays DC in Belgium, then goes to Texas before coming back over for the packed European clay court season.
