British TV programmes - review, debate and reccommend

Discovered this programme a few months back and it returns tonight. So if there are any Brits with nothing to do between 10- 10:30 tonight watch BBC2.

It's a panel game a bit like Have I got news for you but the panels are made up of six commedians who are very politically incorrect and take the piss out of the news and people in the news.

For those not in the UK i have tried on emule to find old episodes - but can't get them.

Hi, I've changed the title as we have moved on to other programmes

It's alright, nothing special, I'm watching Prison Break anyway.

The Apprentice :rocker:

Missed Wednesday's episode cos I was on holiday and hoped to be able to see the full episode online when I came back (like last year)...but they only do a shitty 2 minute recap  :sobbing: :hysteric:

There must be a repeat of the Apprentice somewhere during the week on BBC 3 or something, I hope so because I'm going to miss it on Wednesday.

You missed a good one, the guy who got fired was pure cringeworthy comedy gold.

I'm a student so I only have terrestrial

I saw boardroom highlights  But if you haven't checked his audition (online) it really really really really is cringeworthy! :haha: :haha: :haha: The guy is a complete ass. Believe it or not...another car salesman as well :haha:

I saw boardroom highlights

That was nothing, when they were choosing a project leader he tried to fool this other guy into taking the job (so that he wouldn't be in the firing line), then when they came to tell the rest of the group they had decided that he should do it instead, and he visibly shat himself.

Then went on to give some Any Given Sunday Al Pacino like speech about how they are going to go out and batter and destroy and kill in their efforts to win.

He then gets moved over to the other side, and the women fucked him over. And then he cried (he actually cried). He must have known he was gone.

Seemed like an ok family guy in the interview thing afterwards, but he came across as a bluff and no substance kind of guy during the show itself.

yeah that guy was never going to make it. but to be honest a lot of them are cringeworthy, annoying, ass lickers and alan sugar is going to rip them to shreds. this weeks task is about dogs, its going to be hilarious.

mock the week is also very funny and its on tonight, omg.

We're probably behind, at the moment what's her name just got drowned in the bath tub and the complete fuck up who never dies just caught up with the money in the nice hotel.

TBH, I thought about 4 episodes ago that it was close to the end, it's labouring on a little now. The fucked up detective is an interesting character, he has made the series. I only watched bits and pieces of the 1st series, but I've watched all of the 2nd series so far.

Yea the detective has definetly made it more interesting. I found the 1st season to be better than this one. I also think its dragging on way too long but nevertheless its a good show.

i ADORE that show. So funny. I'm so glad it's coming back, i missed it!

Mock The Week is hilarious. I love love love Frankie Boyle and Andy Parsons, they are my heroes. I wish i could be that funny on the spot...or ever :p

Prison Break is awesome, i love it dearly. It's been signed up for a third season the other week, god knows what's going to happen in it. I think Mahone is a great character and how they show he's breaking under the pressure from (the extremely annoying) Bill Kim is fantastic. Compulsive viewing.

Apprentice is also great (i watch too much TV :o) And that guy who got fired :haha: What a bullshitter, he just was talking hot air the whole time :sobbing:

3rd season of Prison Break?

I'm starting to lose interest if that's the case, the longer these things go the worse it gets. Disappointed now as I was hoping to see some kind of conclusion for this series, suppose it doesn't matter now.

:yeah: Mock the Week is great, although I'm still pining for HIGNFY, saying that the new sereis muct be fairly soon.

I lurve Prison Break and am also very glad thats its been signed up for a third especially after last nights finale I'm very curious about whats going to happen and how they'll handle the various plots they've laid out. I do like Mahone, but bizarrely my favourite character was T-Bag although they watered him down a bit with the Susan plot, but in the first season he was great in an extremely creepy way though  I also liked Abruzzi and he gets my vote for the death in the series and certainly the best last line 'I kneel only to God, I don't see him here'.

Did you see the operatic version of the Apprentice? That was pretty funny!

Yep. That's the idea. You have to sacrifice something to take part. Not sure whether you have to do it to audition though, or whether you have to leave it if you're one of the chosen 16.

But I read up on some of the people from the previous series, and several of them walked back into their old jobs

It would be a bit much if you had to do it to audition well in my humble opinion.

Maybe it was good publicity to have them back?! 'Look we've been on TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

I think it was a no-brainer that it would get signed up for another season. It's doing incredibly well in the ratings, so i spose they didn't want to give it up just yet. I just hope the show doesn't get worse.

Yeah he creeps me out too, but Robert Knepper does a fantastic job with him. Agreed on Kellerman, another one I have difficulty liking is Linc he annoys me no end sometimes especially with the 'smash now - think later' strategy and I swear his shirt has been unbuttoned to his stomach all season :o

Me too I love the dog eat dog of it all.

The guy who got booted last week was an annoying bumbling car salesman and was rightly FIRED.

Tongight, the asian guy with the beard seems to be a right dick. He is the one that used one of his old companies name as a team name, and pretended it was some latin shite :haha:. Alan showed him where it was at :armed:

I just saw that and was completely staggered by what I saw, it boggles the mind that they think picketing funerals is ok and that telling someone the're going to hell is a 'loving and courteous' thing to do, then be surprised and offended when that perons is 'rude' in response.
I really can't fathom how they can involve their children in their protests.

Brainwashed from birth by that horrible old man.
