Speaking of music does anyone play a musical instrument?

Domino
04-14-2004, 07:09 AM
They do sound the same, there is no variety in what I have heard from Nickleback. That is why I like Evenescence, their songs have variety like my personal fav, My Immortal.

Oh, and I can play the drums and base guitar.

Mrs. B

Conan commends Frau B on a great list....to cure insomnia!!

And it is not April Fools Day anymore so stop kidding Conan by choosing Evanescence.

Conan has quite strict criteria to be a fave band/artist - quality, originality and longevity - so without further ado, here are Conan's favourite bands/artists:

Colour Me Badd
Crash Test Dummies
Charles and Eddie
Baha Men
Billy Ray Cyrus
Lou Vega

The Beatles
The Hollies
Manfred Mann
Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Tich
The Beach Boys
The Bee Gees

Everybody is entitled to an own opinion ;)... I like MB20 above any other band, but that's just me.. doesn't mean I don't listen to other music... I even have cd's with Celtic kinda music, I listen to soul and funk, and I own cd's with 80's music or musical songs... but I also have albums of Disturbed, Saliva, Linkin Park, Silverchair.. I even used to like, but that's really in the past now, The Offspring A LOT. It's just that Matchbox Twenty is the only band that I never ever get bored of.. and pretty much the only band I would kill for to see live ;) So well.. it comes down to: your mom has GREAT taste :worship: :p

I like Oasis just because of the quality of the tracks and way they take ages to make and release an albumn instead of stick 3 or 4 b side crap tracks on there to hurry it up and obviously love their music !!

Also Coldplay and Travis as their tracks are very deep and very catching.

U2....as Joshua Tree was so great and they have kept in the mix in last 3 decades and Bono is a fascinating guy.

I hear you - Bono is very interesting indeed! He is so intelligent and i like to see intervieuws with him as it's always so deep - know what i mean?

U2 is so great, they are still going strong after such a long time, which is so good! I love all of their songs, the old ones as well as their new ones :) :worship:

@ Dutchie.. yeah, I recently found out EVERYBODY in Holland seems to like Maroon5. It tends to be a bit annoying at times.. But that's mostly cuz I liked them last year already, saw them live twice (september and march, both in Paradiso), when nobody really knew them.. now they're finally having their breakthrough in Holland.. which is cool, but the hype is sooooo big. Commercials and ads for their album, for their single, for their gig, the song is high in the charts, they use This Love for programs, announcements, in other commercials .. But yeah, live, they still are TOTALLY awesome! Certainly one of the best bands I have ever seen.. and by far not as stuck up and arrogant as I feared they would be :)

Haha, i liked it before :p

I love the way they worked the songs though, like a player hitting the bal on the bass, and the images fit so well to the lyrics!
I always like the little films they make of tennis.

Exactly, they do it really well.. and all the funny items with the good music.. I remember 2 years ago, they made this little "Anna K moment" for the guys.. they got so many emails from pissed girls that they made a "women's moment" too the next day, with shirtless players or players changing they shirt.. It was hilarious, they even put in bits of Radek Stepanek making even weirder faces than he normally does , and the music to go with that made it TOTALLY funny!

Ah, that's nice. Records have a better sound, I think. Too bad they're not portable. My father has an awesome collection of records from the 60's and 70's, including many of the bands I've listed, like the Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, Led, Pink Floyd, Who, etc. I credit him for introducing me to the classics.
