Poor girl! I hate Eastern European parents who are like that. Seeing this has put a lot of anger into me.
Saying that, she'll probably forgive him anyway because it seems like they've gone through this more than once.

Looked to me like he was doing more than just hitting her. Wow. That made me sick to my stomach. What kind of father grabs his daughter like that? Ugh.

this is what happened on court anyway

"It's my fault too. I disobeyed him and he got upset," Kateryna said. "He would never hurt me. He's a wonderful father. He loves me a lot, he worries about me a lot. I just want him to come back, so we can talk and be with me."

Poor girl. I saw it too. It was terrible and total shock. But, as I mentioned earlier, women have such fate in many states of this world in so called democratic states too.

WTF was he doing near the end of the video?

1) This video is not as bad as they make it out to be. Im sure worse happens between parent-child behind closed doors all over the world

2) :haha: at the last part...did he put her to sleep or some shit? And why the hell does he go down on the floor with her? One more question...wtf were his hands doing behind her like that? :haha:

3) Sign this girl up for the Laila Ali school of boxing. That left uppercut was fuckin sick...

According to this link, she was hit because of her boyfriend.

She also says: "I'm sorry about what happened... it was my fault too. I disobeyed him and he got angry"

"He had never hit me before. He had never raised his hand before."

It seems they are in peace now...

If she has been swimming for 10 years or more, can you imagine how many times he might have done that:eek:
"he never did it":spit: now they're making fools of themselves even more.
But as someone said before he was the only taped, many others do that too

Classic signs of an abused child. So horrible. Just let social services take you away to a better place girl!

Look at this stupid video that's been all over the news .

A father and daughter having a simple altercation, that the daughter wouldn't have remembered the next day, had the stupid media not made such a big deal out of this. :o

Did the girl try to run away? No. Did she call for help? No.

She was upset, and they had a fight... And it's not uncommon for eastern european parents to be a little more physical with their kids than westerners.

Well done Aussie media. :yeah:

He didnt hit her, but went all violent when she just tried to get her stuff from the table. There's something quite disturbing about this. I feel sorry for these young athletes, they go through enough pressure, I cant imagine how can physical abuse over a child - even if its not as harsh like in the case, can be seen as 'no big deal', because eventually it has some consequences. Hope for her sake what she claimed is true.

:retard: what are you on about? a good old fashioned beating will do her good in the long run.

her father is a class act :yeah: :worship: :D

anyway, if she hadn't slutted herself around the entire mens swimming assoiciation she woundn't have been beaten up (slag) :)

That is very bad to see such a thing happening and good that the world could see see it this time because many children are abused in their sports or on way becoming good in sports. The biggest asshole country in this is China and some Eastern europe countries for me. Take China as example, they really do a lot of pain to little kids who are sent by parents to a gymnastics sports camps and have to be a long distance away from their parents in early age. They cry because it is so hard and painful there and they often have to do exercises in tears under control of mercyless coaches. And if they do not do something correct like the coachs want it, they also get beaten by a stick on hands or butt as physical punishment. And it is very strict in a few countrys too. What a nightmare, I would like to do the same with these coachs who treat the kids like a dirt and who only have the gold medal for the country in front of their eyes :fiery: total kneejerk assholes! :banghead:
