This Nadal is good

Possibly one of the great moments in his young career :hatoff:

Not quite sure what was up in the first set, 3(?) set points saved

Comfortable in the second though :)

More difficult than I expected, but got it done in the end.

Yeah who is Mello, can some one tell me something about his game, rafa really pissed me off letting him take him to a tiebreak that he almost lost.

That is not sending the right message to Misah Rafa

As expected, of course still happy he managed!

It wasn't going so easily in the first set - did anyone see the match?
(I can't - only dratted SB...)

I guess he spent the first set scratching his balls and not really paying attention, but they didnt itch in the 2nd :yeah:

A little rough in the beginning, but he just refuses to give up. Well done. :yeah:

He scared me the first set.

But came back nicely the 2nd set. :yeah:

Rafa always plays relatively badly in his first match as it takes him a while to get used to new surfaces. I'm sure that's the only reason why he struggled in the first set and I'm sure normal service will resume against Rochus.

Better thing to contemplate, what was the last tiebreak he won, what was the last match he won. Which title was the last title he held?

Is that a question? I thought school taught you to use "?" in the 3rd grade.

Sore loser? no
Pulls antics all the time? no
Moonballer? no
Speaks English decently? yes
#1? yes

Well I guess we both missed the day they taught question and answers in school, because that sure as hell doesn't look like much of a answer to my question.

This is why we work so well together Glenn

What I'm more happy about is this is Rafas 199 win and he's gone 7 matches now without dropping a set, yeah rafa.

He needs to hit the practice court and pull together a little more, because it only gets harder after this.

vamos rafa

Rafa should have proably lost that first set, he better get it together like last week when he plays the Russian.

That Purple court takes getting used to.

Unsurprisingly, Mello choked away the first set. I hope he's not called up for Davis Cup.

The day Max needs a TB to defeat Mello, the world will revolve against its original course.

He did need two to beat him in St. Petersburg in 2004.

Of course, Mello was playing much better back then.

I'm getting used to Rafa either winning his first set at a tourney in a tiebreak or losing it and then going on to win the rest more easily. This is not unexpected.

Nadal said the wind was a problem for him in the match, for whatever that's worth.

At least he got it together in the second set.

It must have been nice celebrating that win over Braccaili.

Oh yah, Mirnyi LOST, how could I forget such a choke job.
