It's always something with Hewitt these days - remaining injury free is becoming a real problem.

I hope Hewitt can make a real come back - he seems to be really injury-prone lately.

Hewitt used to be the least injury-prone player...but nowadays :( Since he dropped off the stairs in his home he keeps getting injured.

Yes, indeed - I might well suspect there's a psychological component to him getting so much injured lately as well (not just him getting older). It's quite a bit of a coincidence to see this occuring since he's got married - it might be that his commitment to win is lacking for a bit also.
Anyway, I sincerely hope he'll come back, as he's such a character on the tour... :D

Good for Kendrick, BTW! I don't mind seeing more of him than I usually get to do.

Injured Hewitt pulls out of Miami

Hewitt was on course to meet Andy Murray in Miami
Lleyton Hewitt has withdrawn from the Miami Masters with a back injury.
The Australian former world number one received a bye through the first round and was set to face Dutchman Raemon Sluiter in his opening match.

Hewitt suffered with the problem during a loss in the second round at the Pacific Life Open against Serb Janko Tipsarevic less than a fortnight ago.

"I'm disappointed but my back has not come up as well as I'd have liked, which is frustrating," he said.

The 19th-ranked Hewitt, who won the Las Vegas title this month, said he had withdrawn to reduce the chance of further injury.

"That's the last thing I need at the moment. I don't want to go on the court knowing that I can't compete at my best," he said.

Hewitt, who could have met British number one Andy Murray in the third round, was replaced in the draw by American Robert Kendrick.

Murray's opening match is against American Paul Goldstein later on Friday.
