I think Canas will, after that Henman's loss to Hernych i don't believe he can beat Canas. Canas lost to Waske and Moya last week as well. He beat Federer but we all know Fed was injured. Henman to win in 3. :worship: Action Jackson 03-21-2007, 11:43 AM Jaap, you are the match up king. Still I guess Henman has lost more game than Canas since they last played. Guillermo in 2. All_Slam_Andre 03-21-2007, 11:52 AM Canas in 2 amierin 03-21-2007, 11:55 AM I think Canas had a winning record against Henman-something like 5-1? ExcaliburII 03-21-2007, 12:06 PM Cañaas 2 and 3. Jaap 03-21-2007, 12:07 PM Henman should have won at both the French and Australian open. He was dominating and Canas seemed done......until he mysteriously got a new wind of breath............Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Without drugs, Henman wins. Action Jackson 03-21-2007, 12:11 PM Henman as usual choked, when he needed to be at his best, old poor Jaapie keep up with the excuses. Strangelove 03-21-2007, 12:15 PM Cañas will put Timmie away...easy vamosnadal 03-21-2007, 12:40 PM In my opinion Canas will spank Henman, as after his injuries I don't think Henman had enough fitness to beat a guy like Canas, who moves so well and gets so many shots back in court. Jaap - we don't "all know Fed was injured" we know he had a couple of blisters which the Fedster himself said was nothing to do with why he lost the match..according to his press conference which took place after Fed had completed his doubles match. He didn't play anything like his best tennis and definitely had a rare and uncharacteristic blip, but he wasn't injured. If Fed and Canas get a rematch this week in Miami I pity poor Canas as Fed will want to thrash him!!! Julio1974 03-21-2007, 12:41 PM Cañas in 2. Jaap 03-21-2007, 12:42 PM Henman as usual choked, when he needed to be at his best, old poor Jaapie keep up with the excuses. You know, I knew Canas was on the pills after that match against Henman at the Aus open. After the 4th set, he seemed dead. The suddenly he is running down everything again. Without them, it won't be as easy to beat Henman. ExcaliburII 03-21-2007, 12:50 PM You know, I knew Canas was on the pills after that match against Henman at the Aus open. After the 4th set, he seemed dead. The suddenly he is running down everything again. After the 4th set, he seemed dead. The suddenly he is running down everything again. Without them, it won't be as easy to beat Henman. I was at the match and Cañas never losing even with Henman up 4-1 0-30 on Cañas's serve after he served a fault and served a 120km/h 2nd serve in the 5th set. In other words you are continually talking out of your arse. Blisters are an injury come on, you can do better than that, stick to backing the 1.01 favourites. Bilbo 03-21-2007, 01:53 PM Canas lost to Waske and Moya last week as well. He beat Federer but we all know Fed was injured. Henman to win in 3. :worship: keep betting against willy. it will cost you big. that's what happens when you hate a player and bet with your heart. you must smoke some good crack to think henman is going to win. Denaon 03-21-2007, 01:54 PM Cañas :rocker: in 2!!! Horatio Caine 03-21-2007, 01:58 PM Canas is a revolting match for Henman, unfortunately. Poor Tim is likely to get soundly beaten :sobbing: Voo de Mar 03-21-2007, 02:08 PM Time to make it 6-1 for Cañas Guillermo Cañas (ARG) Versus Tim Hneman (GBR) 1998 Canadian Open 32 Hard (O) Henman 3-6 7-6 6-2 The first time when I saw Cañas in action :) At that time he had as long hair as today and was leading 6-3 5:2. Later was 5:4 up in the tie-break. Hendu 03-21-2007, 02:35 PM The first time when I saw Cañas in action :) At that time he had as long hair as today and was leading 6-3 5:2. Later was 5:4 up in the tie-break. In his first years as a pro, he had some huge chokes. Kitty de Sade 03-21-2007, 02:37 PM Not a good way for poor Tim- sorry. Cañas in 2. azza 03-21-2007, 02:42 PM Canas 7-6(2) 6-1. RonE 03-21-2007, 02:55 PM Henman is cannon fodder for Canas. Canas wins easily. Voo de Mar 03-21-2007, 02:58 PM In his first years as a pro, he had some huge chokes. I read once on Internet that Cañas wasted 9 match points in Santiago 1998 against M.Rodriguez. Merton 03-21-2007, 02:58 PM Canas in 3, after being a set and a break down. Dancing Hero 03-21-2007, 03:14 PM Canas will probably win and I reckon straight sets. Shahar26 03-21-2007, 03:36 PM Cañas will win, I think he's going to get to the QF.... I've been wrong before though ;) jazar 03-21-2007, 03:36 PM canas is superior from the back and henman doesnt come to the net nearly enough anymore to disrupt him *Ljubica* 03-21-2007, 04:05 PM Oh my - poor Tom  What a bad match-up for him. I'm pretty sure Cañas will win quite easily, and though I like Cañas normally, I do hope I'm wrong because Tim needs some confidence right now. Hendu 03-21-2007, 04:21 PM I read once on Internet that Cañas wasted 9 match points in Santiago 1998 against M.Rodriguez. Yes, but the most memorable choke was against Maurice Ruah, from Venezuela in 1999 Davis Cup, to stay in the American Group 1. He was 6-3 6-3 5-0, but lost the third set in the tie break and then 3-6 3-6. Other chokes: In 1998 against Fabrice Santoro in Key Biscayne, Francisco Clavet in Wimbledon and Sandon Stolle in Australia. He just melted under pressure. But luckily those days are over. danton 03-21-2007, 04:32 PM C'mon Tim -I believe in you Blue Heart24 03-21-2007, 04:32 PM Willy in 2 and I'm gonna bet on that tomorrow *Viva Chile* 03-21-2007, 05:27 PM Cañas without a doubt Burrow 03-21-2007, 05:42 PM Im sad that Henman vs Canas so early, couple of my favourite players. Think it would do tim more good to win than Canas though. Corey Feldman 03-21-2007, 06:15 PM When your luck is out, it is really out ehh Tim. well, im not giving it to Canas yet.... Timbo might spring a surprise, he sometimes is better in a position of the underdog. Oh my - poor Tom :sad:Tom? :p i like that cat in the avy.. black and white, like my team :yeah: Voo de Mar 03-21-2007, 06:41 PM Yes, but the most memorable choke was against Maurice Ruah, from Venezuela in 1999 Davis Cup, to stay in the American Group 1. Had he match points in those matches against Ruah, Santoro & Clavet? Indeed, his choke against Ruah was like a mega-choke!!! :o dylan24 03-21-2007, 07:39 PM druggie wins Fedex 03-21-2007, 08:21 PM Canas in 3. He just flat out owns Henman and I dont expect that to change this time. ChinoRios4Ever 03-22-2007, 02:55 AM Cañas, as always vs Tim.... Agassi Aces 03-22-2007, 10:01 AM Canas will probably edge it but Henman has a great chance if he can find his form... mtw 03-22-2007, 12:52 PM Maybe Canas. Good luck. oscar_2424 03-22-2007, 03:30 PM Canas in straight sets. VERY windy. Come on, Tim! Shit, I knew he'd draw Canas! Anybody know what the conditions are like out there right now? GlennMirnyi 03-23-2007, 02:00 AM There's no debate here Canas 6-2 6-1 or something. Then that's why Henman won the first set, right? :cuckoo: BlakeorHenman 03-23-2007, 02:01 AM Glenn and I will never lose faith in Our Tim. Bremen 03-23-2007, 02:10 AM He's not doing so great in the second...too bad. Sjengster 03-23-2007, 02:12 AM And amazingly enough, did not win a game in the rest of the second set after going up an early break. GlennMirnyi 03-23-2007, 02:17 AM Being a Henman fan isn't good for cardiac problems. BlakeorHenman 03-23-2007, 02:19 AM Being a Henman fan isn't good for cardiac problems. Yeah, he never gets through 2 and 2 or something, except against Mahut this year. johnemms2003 03-23-2007, 02:22 AM Looks like Henman is having another meltdown after winning the first and being up a break in the second. Now he is a break down in the third. John Triple (http://www.triplematchpoint.com) Deivid23 03-23-2007, 02:46 AM Canas in 3, after being a set and a break down.
