i don't know if this is the right place to open this kind of thread, but i was wondering if anyone has any experiences with ams tv (online) from indian wells. apparently they've upgraded the service from last year, offering live matches, off-court footage, interviews etc...
it does seem tempting to me, but i don't know about the quality of the streams. judging from what i've seen on betfair.com, i'd rather pass. but i guess there will be some value in it, considering that they actually charge quite some money whereas betfair's for free.
so did anyone get a tournament pass or maybe day pass for indy? what's it like?

I've had it since last April but I prolly won't renew it as the highlights freeze too often and the live streaming only works for several minutes before freezing, then stops freezing for 30 seconds then freezes some more.
So I just got Cable T.V. connected last August because I got so sick of the website freezing all the time.
So if you have enough money I'd advise you to get Cable T.V. instead to watch the Masters with.

if it was that easy...
thing is: nobody's showing in in germany. i do have cable but not even eurosport germany has the television rights. so basically, if i don't watch it on ams tv, i don't watch it at all. well, i can rely on the highlights shown on cnn...
last year i watched some ams matches on some shitty chinese streams, and it's been bad, real bad. streaming was slow, very small window and the resolution...:o
so that's ruled out as well.

It was working like a charm for me during IW.
If the price isn't a problem for you, take it.
They still seem to have a terrible customer service for the price, but it's not so tragic when you don't have to contact them every other day anymore to get the streams to work.

I paid for the annual subscription, and so far the live streams at IW have been working smoothly, which is all I really care about...well, that and the elusive promised matches on demand. The content of the highlights is too jerky for me to feel like I get any sense of what happened during the match, so I don't watch those, but I didn't have any technical problems with them when I tried. The service does seem to have improved since last year, so it really depends on your other options and whether the price is absolutely out of your range.

I had overlooked the second part of your post about betfair: the streams are not much better than the betfair one for me, if that was your question.
What I meant with the poor customers service is that they don't seem to have much of a clue of what they are exactly offering when you have a question about the videos on demand, the subscription, etc.
Or for example, I told them it was disappointing to entirely miss the first day of the tournament (the point of this livestream is that you get complete coverage of the event, from the very first point to the last one). The answer: "We regret that we are restricted as to what we can show by the event organisers and they have decreed that we cannot show *the qualifying matches*". (I clearly meant I was speaking about the first round.)
So it's still not perfect. But much better than last year.

Merge with this thread.
Up to now I never really had any problems with the stream itself. Ok, it buffered a few times, but other than that was fine. Though this time I experienced problems accessing it, because the site told me I wasn't allowed to. But when that happened, I just used the direct link.
