What do you expect Coria will have achieved in 5 years time?

So since he lost to Gaudio in that French Open final in 2004, he hasn't achieved a great deal of success. Only one small title in Umag and a couple of masters series finals. What do you expect of him in 5 years? To have achieved a grand slam, several? To completely slip down even further in the rankings and never rise back up?

Seriously I think Coria is finished [i just don`t see him coming back]~~>> for him it`s mostly mental but it seems that mental hurdle is too huge to overcome!!

He has great tennis and he will finish with this mental business. He is a big fighter, no doubt he will reach #1.

i think coria has the talent, but not the serve to get back to the top, but it will come down to the mentality and i'm not sure if he has got that anymore. but in 5 years i think he will have retired

the question is, where is he now?

thats why im asking the question, where will he be in 5 years time? I want to know the peoples opinions of whether he can turn it round and rise back to the top.

maybe if we want to compare his serve with another tennis player there's a perfect example!!:D say who?? well, definitely she's elena dementieva!! every 10 first serve they hit,at least 8 of them is "fault"!!:wavey:

;) By far the most likely scenario,

Didn't it come out that Coria was dealing with some sort of a secret personal problem about a year ago? Was it ever revealed what specifically was going on there?

A lucrative commentary gig for Argentine TV.

His latest planned comeback at Houston has been cancelled and once again we don't know when he may play next.

The longer this goes on the less convinced I am we will see him back at the highest level.

He's lost his motivation for playing and the signs are that he hasn't yet rediscovered the desire to hit some balls and compete. Until he does...

That TV contract awaits, though.

I know it's a bit of a long shot at this point, but I'd love to see him come back.

He was indeed hinting at a problem himself more than one year ago, but never said what it was in his recent interviews.

Under a doping ban, hopefully: where he and most of the other Argentine players belong

even if he doesn't get to the top again, im sure he will achieve something. Whether its a small tournament or grand slam I dont know. Lets face it the only grand slam he can win is the French Open, if he gets his game toghether he does have a chance.

he'll probably win a Future or even two when he gets his head together.

He should have a "Coria's guide on how not to serve" DVD out by then.

He will bo no where 5 years from now

He's always chickened out. They say they call him the magician because he has a great drop shot. I think it's because he has a great disappearing act. He can vanish in thin air in the middle of a tennis court.

In 2003 he lost the French Open semi with a cetified NOBODY like Martin Verkerk in 3 straight sets. He was so frightened he couldn't move.
The following year he did his master piece. He was the authentic "Magician" he had the RGarros title in hand and he disappeared in thin air from the court. Not even David Cooperfield could do such a great act

Must there be so many moronic posts? :awww:

I hope Coria gets back obviously, but i doubt he'll ever be top 10 again.

I'll be supporting him whatever he's doing :p
