My sister is going to go on holiday in seacruise. Ship is in Southampton, but from Riga airplane fly only in Gatwick or Stansted, can you help please, what is the fastest way to go to Southampton from one of these airports? Not in car, my sister will have 3-4 hours till ship'll go. Please help. The trip will be in the end of April :wavey: :worship:

Probably best to go into Central London and get a fast train to the South Coast from there. There are many direct trains from Gatwick to Brighton, but then she would still have to get along the coast from Brighton to Southampton, and the trains on that route are usually slow, stopping trains, so may be quicker going into London Centre and then out again. Gatwick is much more convenient than Stanstead for getting anywhere to the South of the country.

I have always found this site useful for train times:

www.qjump.co.uk

It will offer the quickest routes and tell you were/if you must change trains...
