Looking at the draw, there is nothing to suggest that Boggo shouldn't go on and win the tournament, but the same was true last week and he went and lost to Reynolds.

I'd guess he'll win a couple of rounds, and then go and lose to someone who he really should beat in a disappointing defeat

Baker and Bloomers will probably will a round, and have chances to get further (probably Baker more so as he is the better player outdoors), but there is a good chance of Britain having a good week here

Here's a recap of what I saw:

Clemens v. Levy-
Missed the first set and came in during the middle of the second when it was 1-6/4-4. Both players held serve till 6-5. Clemens lost his serve badly and it went downhill from there. Clemens won only a few points in the third set which led to a bagel. He kept yelling how he needed to get a real job and that this would be his last tennis match lol

Carlsen v. Stoppini-
Stoppini couldn't get a read on Carlsen's serve all match. I dont believe Carlsen faced a break point. Honestly, this match should have ended sooner than it did but Carlsen missed a few shots that he would normally make.

Kim v. Widom-
Left early from this match but Kevin was on fire from what I saw. Controlled practically every point and hit everything deep.

:wavey: I'll give you guys a review of tomorrow if I go:wavey:

no way....order for tomorrow...and no scores for today....only in the US

There are no scores for today updated on the atp website because there is still a match going on (Reynolds vs. Davidson). Very few challengers (or ATP level tournaments for that matter) post an updated draw online before all matches are completed. European challengers are no different. At tournaments of all levels, the OOP is out beforehand so tomorrow's players (and fans) are aware of their match times as early as possible (also remember that its only 9:20 in Valencia). Unless a tournament has live scores (which most challengers everywhere don't), its unlikely that you'll see an updated draw online until all matches are finished. Just thought I'd let you know that its not only in the US. :)

i agree in some way....but there are many sources for tennis results...even in south america...and in the states...nothing...

thats so bad. nobody cares about it. some matches were completed 10 hours ago...and still nothing....
remind me if there are no results for matches in challengers in europe for 10 hours after the match is finished...just remind me...i ll send you the result immediately..

Chip_s_m
04-11-2007, 04:40 AM
I agree with you regarding other sources. American news doesn't pay much attention to tennis, let alone the lower tier events. I got the impression that you were blaming it on the tournament's American management, which likely isn't doing anything too differently from the management at other challengers. Sorry if I misinterpreted you. :)

The 'official' Santa Clarita website http://www.paseochallenger.com/ Still hasn't completed the qualifying results, let alone started the main draw!
How's that for interest, when the host club cannot even be bothered?
I wonder what all those sponsors think of that?
