kudos to haas on being a great sport. definitely rooting for murray, but what a class act. :worship:

if murray has to retire, i hope haas wins it.

it's swollen, but no retirement yet

I'm not a fan of any of these player, but Tommy did behave classy in this situation

That was hot of Hasi to run over. :hearts: If only he bent down and yelled obscenities at Andy's ankle, the swelling would have fled in terror. :scared:

Seriously though, ouch. :o

I am rooting for Andy too, but Tommy did do a great job! :yeah:

Unlike last year at the Sony Ericsson Open last year when Golovin tore her ankle up and Sharapova stayed on the other side of the court just looking the other direction..

I don't really think Murray will finish it. Have you seen his serves after medical time out? There is no way he'll finish it. It'd be crazy.

great gesture by haas to rush over there, I dont think murray will be able to win now hopefully he will be ok for miami...

Whoa - crazy stuff. Murray just rolled over on his ankle and went down hard, Brad Gilbert looks oddly like he's smirking when the camera cuts to his reaction, and Haas, when he sees Murray go down - runs to him, and holds the ice on Murray's ankle himself (no doubt remembering that crazy ankle injury during practice at Wimbledon 2 years ago). You can actually hear Haas shout, 'get him some ICE!' Aw. As if that isn't enough drama, Cliffy is thisclose to accusing Murray of semi-faking/drama-queening it up. This is nuts.

Haas dropshotting Murray... And it wasn't even a good drop shot

The crowd boos Tommy now when he tries to play a point? Are you kidding?

Murray has ugly feet and a boo boo, and Tommy has lost his brains for the time being.

Good match.

the way Murray is currently playing it seems like brain damage was a side effect of an ankle injury

Yeah he hit a drop shot, but thats what you do when you have an injured opponent you make them run. The people who booed :o

Cliff was getting on my nerves when he said "It didn't look that bad" like 10 times...

I didnt hear any boos and I dont think Cliff is insinuating anything, sometimes it feels and sound bad and its just not that bad (an injury) some american footbal players have tore their acl and kept on playing thinking it was a minor sprain...

It really didn't look that bad. I think it probably didn't exactly feel good, but Andy was sucking some wind and needed a little breather, so he milked it a bit. He's moving well after the timeout, going for a little more, but it doesn't seem like much of anything.

Ugh I know. And stuff like that can hurt like hell even when it 'isn't that bad'.

I think what Cliff meant by his comment that it wasn't too serious which, currently, it appears not to be.

When you twist your ankle it can really hurt but then the pain goes away in 5-10 min and it's like it never happened.

I think Andy can whinge a bit but it takes a mean person to say he was faking the pain he obviously felt.

:shrug:I also thought he had a serious injury by his dramatic reaction after falling. I, personally, looked up and said "oh shit". I guess he is ok.

This whole thing has put Haas off his game. Murray may feel just fine presently, but swelling could set in overnight and tomorrow will be a different story.

I don't think andy will win 3rd set. Seems like it would be difficult for him to do this seeing as haas seems to just be waiting for the right time to pounce on the hurt muray.

Andy will pay by withdrawing from Miami

Huh?

I rolled my ankle way worse than that three days ago and today I went to run 5 miles with no pain whatsoever...

All I know is that Brad didn't look worried about Murray at all. I find that a little odd.

i think Murray plays the system. he made more of the twisted ankle than was really there and put Haas off his game. no way can a player play so well against an inform player where there he has an ankle injury. Murray has looked solid. the in game bookmakers even marked him down to 12/5 after he won the 2nd set, Fishy.

Yeah I'm glad some one noticed that too. He never looks all that interested in Andy's matches, it's like he only cares about getting to talk to the media and being hailed as one of the greatest coach around. Why doesn't he look at all interested in Andy's matches

Isn't that the same reason that Roddick parted ways with Brad a few years ago?
