LMAO I had no idea this match was occuring right now :retard:

Was the level of play pretty shit? Ferrer is going to get eradicated by his next opponent.

Typical Ferrer.

He's always playing his best tennis when he's losing. He really loves doing things the hard way.

Anyway, congrats to him. The speed of these courts seem to suit his game very well. In fact, I think slow hard courts are his best surface.

I like both guys so: Congrats David:hug:, Sorry Moya:hug:

Nice to see David wake up after the 1st set. Very nice fight from both players in the 3rd set.

Good comeback from Ferrer, although he's as cuddly as a cactus...kinda leaves me un poquito frio.

Moya started off well then just fizzled. Pity he couldn't keep the momentum going.

Ferrer was playing much better after the 1st set while the opposite happened to Moya  Carlos must have gotten tired towards the end too. Some nice rallies in there :)

Nice win.

I'm afraid Moya is too old to play in the quarterfinals of the biggest events :(
But he is still good enough to overcome some top players in the earlier rounds :)

it was, they have to keep up the pacific wells 3 round tradition of shitty matches, first verdasco-nadal, then andal-ferrero now this match... horrible...

Yup, he can still show he is a good player, but he doesn´t seem to be able to go deep in the big tournaments. Maybe it´s fatigue, maybe lack of confidence, I don´t know. He had agreat chance today, but he blew it.

Was a pretty high quality match, despite the scoreline. I liked it!
Ferrer really is some forgotten player that wins matches all year long. The new Davydenko? :P

David is a lot more entertaining than Kolya. Have you seen Davy-Murray before? Dullest match of the tourney!!! They should have paid the crowd the money back! I had to stop watching even having bet on this game, so bad was this!

I agree, the score is not a fair reflection of the match, Moya nearly broke back so many times during the last two sets it always felt like a close match.

I don't think Moya's past it at all in terms of age, he still plays brilliant tennis at times, but just has battered confidence. If he believed in himself a bit more he would have won the match yesterday in two sets. If he can keep the results coming, giving himself a bit more faith in his game, I think we could see some more great tennis from him for a couple of years. He'll never make the top fifteen again, but he will always be a dangerous player in a draw, capable of upsetting many players outside of the top 5. (All just my opinion of course!)

As for Ferrer, he is so great coming from behind and such a fighter! I don't think he is capable of big titles, but consistently reaching the last few rounds of tournaments as he does still takes a great player, but perhaps will never catch the attention it deserves from the critics and fans! Definitely has loads more charisma than Davydenko though!
