Fumus, you are a poet and you don't know it!

I don't know what's up with Spadea these days. Could it be his pact with the devil? ;)

yea, I would be sure he was on his way out he is 30yrs old and playing his best tennis what the hell is going on here? It's like he's taken after some other peoples examples ala El Anouyi and Agassi

He played this well several years ago, and then he took a nose dive and actually set the record for the most losses in a row. He became a joke. Then he went back to the challengers and rebuilt his confidence and slowly started pulling himself up last year through qualies and then results in the main draw.

do u think it will be a tough match for roddick like the moya match?

Do I think it will be tough, yea I think it will be really tough. I know that Roddick is the better player and Spadea must know that too. Roddick is faster, hits the groundies harder and has a bigger serve. It's just Spadea is going to force Andy to beat him. Andy needs to play well. I orginally had Spadea picked for this match, then I had Roddick in straights, so I keep changing my mind it's a toss up. It really is. Roddick has the talent, Spadea has been playing great tennis so that is the matchup.

It's gonna be tight and definitely will be a popcorn match.

Oh, and I'm sure Andy is getting to know Vince intimately now (no, not like that).

IMO the match will come down to Andy's serve. 56% or whatever first serves in against a great returner just will not cut it. He'll have to be close to 70% IMO to win. Either that or have the returning/volleying/groundie match of his life.

ewwwwwwwww

I want Andy to win, and I sort of want to watch the match, but watching Spadea play tennis..........

Someone said he had changed his annoying service motion. That would be a plus.

lmfao Jace. I much prefer the result we got to a popcorn match. I only like popcorn matches when I don't care who wins.

 No popcorn match, sorry Jace. Guess we'll have to wait for the coria-roddick final for that. ;)

I watched Spadea on TTC's "No Strings" which like follows the players around. Spadea is fucking halarious. He is sooo funny. He was walking around the streets of LA challenging people to "battle rap him", he had like a little cheesy keyboard. Then he was hanging out with John Lovitz and joking. He was like I will give you a tennis lesson "Racquet back and bend your knees, sixty dollars please!". He was just being silly picking up girls to one chick he was like "My name is Vinchenzo Spadea, I am straight from Itttallyy, you have a' nice shoes", she was like you are'nt Italian and he was like "so what if I am not" it was soo halirous. Man, Spadea is wicked cool!! Can't say it enough, I am a real Spadea fan now.

In other news Vince the Ace of Spadea's comes back from two sets down and two breaks down in the 5th set to defeat some crappy dude, 9-7 in the fifth. Holy crap Spadea you da the man!

yea, the ace of spadeas is alittle old, I know he has been around the proverbial tennis block a few times but, right now he's America's number 3 player or 2 if you don't count Agassi...

I cannot stand Vince but I'm happy for him that he'll be able to go to the Olympics. I hate watching him play but it's so obvious how hard he's worked and he deserves it. And since it's the Olympics and I become unabashedly patriotic I bet I'll even find myself cheering for him :scared:
