Entertaining match! :bounce: there were some great points from both sides. HIGH QUALITY MATCH

Ferrero is showing great improvements :D and Potito has a very effective game when He's on

Potito and Juan Carlos really had to fight for it, so whoever would have won, It is deserved

At one stage both players started to trade forced and unforced which changed at the mid of the 2nd when the level of the match was reall good.

Potito really punished Ferrero's short BH with his cross-court FH
while Ferrero used a lot of counterpounching to leave Potito without options in the point.

The problem with Starace is when He finally finds some rhytm with his shots, shows signs of over-confidence and starts to fail from all sudden. He's way too inconsistent, He can trouble you with his heavy FH neverthless.

Anyways, POtito found some form and could keep it

the 2nd and the 3rd set were greaaaat!

Oh, ok. I guess there's no online coverage yet.

Betfair's coverage doesn't start until Thursday.

Btw, was there an injury time-out? At one point, the SB seemed to pause for a long time.

How's Ferrero's forehand? Is it back to how it used to be? That's the only thing I care about.

:wavey:

At the end, Ferrero's BH DTL looked  awesome, his attitude was great as well, sooo no complaints :)

I'm sure He'll be out of his slump

EDIT: About Ferrero's FH, It works while He hit it on court, but when He hits it outside the baseline, it goes to the net, He still needs move his racket a little bit more, but hey, there were some awesome Fh to Fh rallies in the 3rd set for example!

How can you be sure that Ferrero will improve after this match? How will one match determine that he gets out of his slump?

That's good to hear. I really hope this guy can challenge for the big clay titles this year, and not keep losing to Ferrer and Almagro. He's by far my favorite player to watch on clay because of his stylishness and power, and it would be a dream come true if he won RG this year and beat Fed and/or Nadal. That would be sweet.

:p  He's improving, so, Besides, His attitude was a lot different from what I saw in Auckland for ex.

People will start to realise at what point, so Why can't it be now?.

Oh! I forgot to add, the last games of the match were absolutely great to watch with Juan Carlos as the main character out there hitting with confidence!

Good to hear he's winning and showing some confidence on court again. That is really what has been bugging me the most, his lack of confidence on court. To me, hearing that he is willing to take risks again, is way more important then the quality of his FH or if he's back to his old level again. The guy needs some confidence, not to get back to his '03 form but to be the best he can be in the rest of his career. Vamos JC!

Starace alwaus gives the bgig guns a great match... he just needs to improve his form against opposition he should be beating... then maybe we can see him make strides in the rankings, but until then he will just be a top 100 fringe player. His talent deserves so much more than that

Anyway congrats to Ferrero for this one.
