Al Ghareeb 3:6 6:3 6:2Rogiman 02-26-2007, 12:18 PM No thread yet? :p Deathless Mortal 02-26-2007, 12:19 PM Al Jazeera :haha: ExcaliburII 02-26-2007, 12:20 PM how the hell did he lose the first set? dorkino 02-26-2007, 12:21 PM Having sight problems lately? i know a good doc. Berdych managed to wake up in the third set. Now Him against Youzhny (if he passes) would be fun. RonE 02-26-2007, 12:31 PM Al-Jazeera  I remember he gave Roger a pretty good run for his money last year. Anyway congrats to Berdych. :yeah: Just please win your next match and then roast the pig to a crisp :) The_Nadal_effect 02-26-2007, 01:03 PM Al Jazeera is the name of a channel in Afghanistan, no? Never thought it was named after some person.:p GustavoM_Fan 02-26-2007, 01:06 PM This confirm that Al Ghareeb is the best arabian tennis player..... If you dont count El Ainaoui like arabian :) Action Jackson 02-26-2007, 01:07 PM Al-Jazeera, he got the crowd interested in taking the 1st set and Berdych needed the hitout, so it was win win for everyone. Nathaliia 02-26-2007, 01:18 PM Not from Afghanistan but Qatar. My cat's name was Al Jazeera btw :o But she wouldn't lose it to Berdych. The_Nadal_effect 02-26-2007, 01:22 PM This confirm that Al Ghareeb is the best arabian tennis player..... If you dont count El Ainaoui like arabian :) LOL Gustav! BTW, we have a drink in India called Jal Zeera! Its good for the digestion. Maybe, we should all call him All-Jeez! Or maybe Aw-cheese! At least he'd be lesser of a news channel and more human. LilyRoseAva 02-26-2007, 02:20 PM yesss a win is a win R.Federer 02-26-2007, 03:24 PM Al Jazeera ...... Clara Bow 02-26-2007, 03:37 PM . Anyway congrats to Berdych. :yeah: Just please win your next match and then roast the pig to a crisp :) Boy Ron- do you really just watch most players to see if they will play Rafa? Do you actually ever root for players as individuals outside of hoping that they will beat Rafa and you can add to your piggy roasting board? ;) I am struck by how player hatred, as opposed to player like is a directive on these boards at times. So if Tomas and Mikhail play- will you hope for a good match between the two as individuals or just watch for signs as who can beat Rafa more if he even makes it to the quarters? RonE 02-26-2007, 04:18 PM Boy Ron- do you really just watch most players to see if they will play Rafa? Do you actually ever root for players as individuals outside of hoping that they will beat Rafa and you can add to your piggy roasting board? ;) There are many players I enjoy watching. But if it is a player in Rafa's section of the draw that I know can give him a hard time then yes I will be rooting for that player to come through. Besides, it just so happens that players who are able to consistently beat Rafa also have a game style I enjoy watching- James, Berdych, Gonzo etc. I am struck by how player hatred, as opposed to player like is a directive on these boards at times. So if Tomas and Mikhail play- will you hope for a good match between the two as individuals or just watch for signs as who can beat Rafa more if he even makes it to the quarters? I would first of all prefer the player I think will have a better chance to beat Rafa to make it through (i.e. Berdych) and if it happens to be a good match then it's a bonus. Consider yourself lucky- this is one of the few times you will receive an honest response on MTF :) FluffyYellowBall 02-26-2007, 04:25 PM I dont see whats so funny about al jazeera coz actually, is has nothing to do with al ghareeb which by the way isnt pronouncd with a J but rather a gh sound. Al ghareeb actually means the strange. Mohamed the strange! Hes a really nice guy though. He came on an off court interview and i rlly liked him. shotgun 02-26-2007, 04:27 PM Al-Ghareeb is to Dubai what Kunitsyn is to the Russian tournaments. Clara Bow 02-26-2007, 04:35 PM There are many players I enjoy watching. You really do loathe the kid, huh if you are at the point where your rooting will be shaped by who could possibley beat him in future rounds as opposed to the match at hand? Well- you have plenty of folks around here to keep you company. So I guess you are in with the in-crowd. sondraj06 02-26-2007, 04:46 PM Its great to be Rafa, even better to be his fan :sport: alfonsojose 02-26-2007, 05:09 PM  What's next? Al Qaeda def. Federer 0-6, 0-5 *BOMB* :timebomb: ChinoRios4Ever 02-26-2007, 05:12 PM al jazeera :haha: bin laden got a WC too??? MissPovaFan 02-26-2007, 05:14 PM Al-Jazeera   RonE 02-26-2007, 05:17 PM Thanks for the honest response. Well- you have plenty of folks around here to keep you company. So I guess you are in with the in-crowd. Loathe is a bit of a strong word. I have nothing against him as a person but I just can't stand watching him play. guga2120 02-26-2007, 05:28 PM Al-Jazeera  I remember he gave Roger a pretty good run for his money last year. Anyway congrats to Berdych. :yeah: Just please win your next match and then roast the pig to a crisp :) Do you bring up Nadal in every thread, even the ones that have nothing to do with him? shotgun 02-26-2007, 05:30 PM I remember that in the 1990 Football World Cup, a player from the UAE scored a goal against Germany (UAE lost 1-5) and was gifted a Rolls-Royce car by one of the wealthy Emirates sheiks. For breaking Federer's serve and taking a set off Berdych, I believe Al-Ghareeb deserves at least a cheap motorcycle, no? :p I♥PsY@Mus!c 02-26-2007, 05:59 PM Tomas :yeah: ASP0315 02-26-2007, 06:11 PM Al-Jazeera  nice Win Thomas. :yeah: ASP0315 02-26-2007, 06:12 PM al jazeera :haha: bin laden got a WC too??? :haha:  jazar 02-26-2007, 07:39 PM how the fuck did berych lose a set to this guy? Merton 02-26-2007, 08:04 PM It was important to break the losing streak here, now Tomas will need to improve next round. uglyamerican 02-26-2007, 08:36 PM Al ghareeb actually means the strange. Mohamed the strange! Hes a really nice guy though. He came on an off court interview and i rlly liked him. The reality is funnier than the joke. | |
