i doubt gonzalez will be in the top 5, he did have good AO, but he wont play like that rest of the year.

1. federer - because he is roger
2. nadal - he will get enough pts on clay and some on hardcourts
3. roddick - wont win a big title, but he will be there at end of couple
4. ljubicic - 2 bad tourny this year, but he is still playing great and a lot of pt chances in the last 3months
5. nalbandian - he will find a way to win matches, as always
6. davydenko - playing a lot will help him
7. haas - he's been on fire, but wont keep it up the whole year, like gonzalez
8. murray - good enough for 8th spot for now
9. blake - someone has to finish 9th, he will get his pts at US hardcourts
10. gonzalez.- see Haas.

If Nadal doesn't win convincingly Dubai I might agree with that list, If he does I'll take all those predictions and wipe my hiney with them. althoug if I do agree with Nadal losing the number 2 spot this year, this is the only admission any one on this board is getting from me ha.

Ljubicic Davydenko Nalbandian and Robredo ---> out of the top10...that is sure..I think

only Ljubicic will go out of top 10 or out of top 20 and maybe Nalbandian if he doesn't play enough . Davydenko will stay while Robredo may be just inside or outside of it

1- Fed (obviously)
2- Nadal (I still think he's the second best player and he'll find his form again.)
3- Roddick
4- Davydenko
5- Gonzalez
6- Haas
7- Blake
8- Murray (it'll be interesting to see how he responds to the number of points he has to defend in the second half because I think he could go higher.)
9- Djokovic (like Murray, could go higher but needs to play better against better players)
10- Robredo (I think his consistancy will keep him there)

I'd love to see Safin there, but I think he's too much of a nutcase to go back that high. I'd also put Berdych in there, but for two years I've predicted he'd get to the masters cup and two years he's not got there so I'm not putting him down in case i jinx him.

if it happened I think the ATP would keep the number 1 spot for Fed forever like some football clubs don't give the numbers of their greatest players anymore and the rankings would start at #2 :o

i think a lot of people are burrying Gasquet a bit too soon.
although he has been in pretty average form so far this year(especially comparing to Murray and Djokovic),i'm convinced he'll wake up eventually(a bit like last year).....and don t forget he has virtually no points to defend until the grass season.

i remain convinced he'll make the top 10 this year....he just needs a big win against a top 10 player to regain some confidence and then i'm sure everything will click again for him

he still lacks power,that's obvious.
to be fair,i'm amazed that he is in the top 20 with so few power in his game.

Robredo yes, but the other 3 no.

I'm sure Robredo will be in the top 10 without any doubt  Some ppl hate so much this guy that they loose all their objectivity, his game on any surface ( he has to improve on grass that's a fact) will keep him in the top 10. Clay season will give him free points ;) I'm wondering is it a list of ppl we think will be in the top 10 at the end of the season of ppl we WOULD LIKE to see in the top 10 ?? coz that would make 2 different lists:o
