Next week, Novak Djokovic is going to play Dubai where he is 7th seeded.

In the first round he will face world number 43, Kristof Vliegen from Belgium. If Novak wins Vliegen, he will play qualifier in the second round. Djokovic should go on to a quarter-final with Roger Federer, best ranked world player.

I hope he plays even as I dislike Dubai with respect to their discriminatory ban of Israeli players . I think he wants to take on Federer :p

I hope Viktor qualifies first and maybe plays Nole . I wouldnt mind either of them playing Federer then. Remember Viktor had a much closer match against Federer in Tokyo with 2 tie breaks than Nole had so far

I guess, since IW seeds won't start til Friday or Saturday, it's okay to play this week.

It's a good week to beat Roger.:aplot:

I don't want him to play Nole! I would be so torn :armed:

But yeah, Viktor has won more games against Federer in his match than Nole has in any one match against Federer. If Viktor had just won those two tiebreaks... *sigh*

The real reason I'm afraid of Viktor playing Nole is that Viktor might actually win :tape:   ;) :haha:

IW and Miami take up entire schedule for march and there are plenty days of rest so it's not bad

Nole is one of the few players who is not afraid of that thinking and Dubai may well be a place for it

The way I see is that it would be a good thing for Viktor to win if ever since we know what Nole can do and have a picture of what he will achieve . But Nole can be ruthless sometimes so you never know

EDIT: Viktor lost a qualie so no dillema anymore

In the first round he will face world number 43, Kristof Vliegen from Belgium.

Serbia played against Belgium two years ago in Belgrade and Janko won against both Rochus, at 1st day Nole had 2:1 against Olie, but he lost and 5th match was against Vliegen and Belgian overplayed him. After that Nole won every DC match (except Federer).

Time for revenge.

Federer had a very close match, he is very rusty of course and quiet vulnerable which should be taken advantage hopefully by Nole in the quarters ;) .
Having said that , tomorrow's match against Kristof Vliegen should be pretty competitive and I think Kristof is excellent on hard courts so IMO it's about 50/50 . Vliegen should not be underestimated and I think Nole will still carry some baggage from Rotterdam .

there is interview from nole , he says it ws windy and tough to play and 1st time in dubai. But I think it's funny when he starts talking about Schuettler, he basically tells almost everything about him like he is reading his biography :D .
