Very tough match...different Davydenko to the one of 18 months ago. I'd give the slight edge to Ivan I think...purely because of his indoor record. Kolya can hurt him in terms of match-up though.

Davydenko in 3 sets.

Koyla has a better baseline game IMO, it depends on how Ljubo serves.

...if Kohlschreiber can hang with Kolya, Ivan can beat him. But otherwise you're right as concerns the better baseliner. If Ivan actually unleashes on the return (ala Blake / Tursunov), rather than just getting it back as he often does, he'd be in a better position imo.

Ljubicic should win this.

Ljubo was ripping winners from the baseline all week, his FH has been on, he had like 3 or 4 UE from FH side last match. dont have to say anything about the BH or the serve. last 2 matches he's won like 98% of pts on first serve

Ljubicic is favourite for this one, much as I'd like to see Kolya win I don't think so.

I hope Ljubo and it is very probable if Ljubicic will be serving like today :yeah:

As much of a fan of Davydenko as I am.

I'm going to say Ljubo in 2 tough sets.

... the last of which was nearly 18 months ago. It's a different Nikolai and a different Ivan.

Why do ppl make a big deal about Kolya playing 30+ tournaments?

I want Davydenko to win. He is undoubtedly a better player than Ljubicic as he has a better grand slam record and has won a meaningful title while Ivan hasn't won any tournaments of significance. However Ljubo has been in the better form this week and i think that he'll prevail.
