J'torian u beat me  i was going to create this thread ;)

Yeah a great bagel in the first set but bad faults in the second, serve a bit out of use, but anyway he won that's the most important against Djokovic that's going to be harder than De Voest  he has to play much better but he can do it fingers crossed!

Btw: i've watched the match here (http://www.abnamrowtt.nl/centrecourttv/) and the quality was quite good hope they will show tommy's next match :o

De Voest in the 2nd round in Rotterdam is a joke. In the 90s player like he wouldn't be play here even in the qualification

from official web siteRobredo books quick victory over lucky loser De Voest22-02-2007
The man who defeated Martin Verkerk a day earlier had very little chance against Tommy Robredo. Rik de Voest, admitted to the tournament as a lucky loser after Jonas Björkman’s cancellation, was able to rack up only four game points against his unfettered Spanish opponent.

In two matches, Robredo, the tournament’s number 2 seed, has only lost a total of eight games. Although that sounds impressive, he played both of his winning matches against lucky losers admitted to the tournament after a series of cancellations. In the opening round, Robredo won his match against the Italian Simone Bolelli in two 6-2 sets.
The 6-0 with which Robredo closed the first set of his match against De Voest was a good indication of what the future would hold for the South African. The 27-year old De Voest, who hails from Pretoria, but was born in Milan, managed to keep up better in the second set, but was ultimately forced to admit defeat. It took Robredo just one break: 6-4.

Krajicek at the end of his career played a couple times with Verkerk in doubles so maybe Richard likes Martin and therefore he gave him WC :)

Anyway Rotterdam this year looks awfully. So many poor players in a draw, none Dutchman in QF, the three most unattractive players from Top 10 as the Top seeds :(

Yes, you're right but I saw many tournaments from Rotterdam in the previous years and I'm disappointed now because none of my favourite players is in a draw this year. I like watching tennis when I see my favourites.

I think that when u like tennis no matter who's playing if itt's a good match u must be delighted of course it's disappointing when ur fav' are not there but there are always some good match to watch and players to discover. I know what i'm talking about, after a couple of Bnp paribas masters without a lots of "top seeded" players, i'm used to miss my fav' but year after year i discover new guys and watch good tennis, i admit proudly me who never liked any match played with frenchman that i watched and loved some matchs against frenchies in Bercy so ;) just forget about the guys who's missing and enjoy the ones presents they try their best to give to the crowd a good show and of course to win

I would like to discover a new Dutchman but Haase lost :( So I won't see him on friday. One thing is sure: woman's gander is different than man's. Players like Davydenko, Ferrer, Robredo or Kohlschreiber aren't attractive for me and obviously I don't talk about their faces or bodies :D I don't like this kind of play although I appreciate Robredo's progress in the last twelve months :yeah:

Bolelli, de Voest... what a magnificent road for Robredo to quarters ;) I don't know if it's Rotterdam or CH in Scheveningen

:secret: Scheveningen is played on clay. The odds of finding De Voest there are smaller than those of finding Robredo there ;)

I didn't tell about you or women generally so sorry if I put you out of the way :) But on the other hand players outlook I think can be for some women the main factor of interesting man's tennis. And vice versa if we are talking about WTA.

:secret: Scheveningen is played on clay. The odds of finding De Voest there are smaller than those of finding Robredo there ;)

I know that on clay but "I see" players like Bolelli or de Voest in the Netherlands on Challenger circuit and that was my association. In my opinion tournament with such a great tradition and past winners is too big for them. Two weeks ago in Wroclaw I saw de Voest and he was pathetic. Maybe Wroclaw is a right place for him but certainly not 2nd round in Rotterdam

BTW English isn't my native language so I can't express my thoughts enough clearly and you must remember about that
