GUUUGAAAAA!!!!!

Hehe, always get the urge to say that when I see Guga's name on a thread. Anyway that's fantastic news; the better opponents he plays, the better he will play.

nice for the Brazillians to have him back but i think it's a wasted wildcard because he is old and he did lost all his matches afther his comeback

Would you have said the same thing for Goran.?? He suprised everyone by winning the Wimbledon as a Wild card. Who knows same thing might happen to Guga.?
Plus is not just a three times RG champion but also a multiple TMS and TMC winner and also a former world no 1. He deserves wildcard for whatever tournament he asked.

Go! Vegas itself is cheesy but the tournament was nice from what I experienced day 2 of qualies and day 1 first round. :yeah:
FYI- free transportation from the Mirage hotel. The site is a bit away from the strip.

Yeah, I have been reading the website. I was turned off by the cheese a little bit, but its Vegas!

Just hope he makes good use of the WCs and wins a couple of matches. It's nice to see him motivated again to step on the courts, especially when thinking about last year.

Good to see both Henman and Kuerten given Wildcards to Las Vegas, two of the more classier players to watch in the last 10 years.

Guga vs Safin 1st round would be nice !!!

Oh no no... please, it would be a relly hard oponent and plus Guga hates play against Safin, he's been saying this many times, according to Guga "Safin is so nervious with himself that put me nervious too".

Don't see either getting far to be honest, Gugas hardly played much and Safin tends to lose to every average joe these days so a R1 would probably be a nice possibility of them playing.

Guga needs to play some De Voest/Kim/Di Mauro. Then he has a real chance of winning.

That reminded me of his epic final with Pistol Pete several years ago. Great match with wild atmosphere.

His nervousism can be explained by the fact that a couple of crucial bad calls cost him that match.
