Who will win the RR group of death in Buenos Aires?

The winner of the elimination match G.Cañas-J.P.Guzmán will be in the RR group with Lucho Horna and Nalbandián. So in the very likely case that Willy defeats Guzmán, three of the main contenders to the title will be in the same group. In fact, we're talking about the nr 1 seed and the two title winners so far in the south american claycourt swing.

Who will emerge to the QFs?

I say Willy. This man is on a mission. Nalbo is on a slump and has never cared for MM tournies nor done especially well in Buenos Aires. You can't completely discount Lucho, but I don't see him defeating both Nalbo and Willy.

I am between Nalbo and Willy, I think 60% for Willy and 40% Nalbo, i voted W.

I would say Cañas because of the surface but he'll be very tired after winning Costa du Sauipe and playing the qualy against I don't remember who. I vote for David

I think the real question is how much or what it is they Tourney people had to do to get Nalbandian to play here

You can see this group having a 1 a piece split, I'll go with El Rey, as I hope he wins the title to get his season on the move.

The same reason why Federer plays Basel.

No, it's winner of Cañas and Guzman that is in the group.

Guzman

Nalbandian.

Canas will have to play on Tuesday already. He'll beat Guzman but be too tired for the RR matches. 6 matches in 6 days.

Vamos Nalbandian, pity they are in the same group

Even if Willy is playing great, and we know Horna, Nalbo is superior when he's playing like he can. He wants to play this tournament so he's going to be "inspired" (not like at the indoor season the last year that he was there for the MC when he was still sick and the last thing he wanted was to play) But the problem is his knee. (he got injured in October last year)Seems that he's not okay yet, according to his kinesiology.
In Nalby's normal condition and with him wanting to win, I'd say Nalbandian without any doubts. But I'm not sure he's 100% to play yet.

This is not easy to predict. There is a good case for each guy, we will see what happens.

Nalbandian is a couple of classes above these guys.
His serve has improved, he's done some training.

Straight sets to the title. No sweat.

Another problem for Nalbandian is that he doesn't like to play little tournies, like this one. He can win a match after being 2 sets down and 0-5 in a grand slam. But in a tournament that gives 175 points to the winner, if he loses the first set he gets tired of all that sh*t and goes to the nearest McDonald's in Buenos Aires and buys 2 Big Macs with french frits and a sundae.

no, actually only three of those 4 will make up the death group.

my guess:

fatass: top ten, masters cup winner, GS finalist.

cheater: former top ten, AMS winner, won Costa do Sauipe last week.

journeyman: won Viña del Mar, two weeks ago.

so yes, it looks like a "group of death" to me...

The only time Ljubo played any of those guys on clay, he won 63 63.

Im not counting on it, Canas will probably get busted again and Fat dave will take the clay season off to work on his driving skills.

Good luck to Ivan tommorow, he plays against a young guy that may turn some heads some day.

The people laughthing at certain posts? Funny thing when you watch the players on theirs avatars/signatures.
At least the "fatass", by the way only active player besides Federer who made it to SF in every GS and important tournament, was injured at AO and yet he didn't lose in first round.....

Don't think those persons are cretins, just simple retards. ;)
Again, look at the players on your signatures before posting (for both members)

Cañas beated Guzman.

The Round Robin "group of death": Nalbandian (top ranked player), Cañas (Costa do Sauipe winner), Horna (Viña del Mar winner).

Lucho def. Nalbandián. If Cañas is too tired the underdog might win the group.

What's worring me is the comment about Nalbo's back that I'm hearing from TV.... Now he's injured on his knee and his back???

our DC team from the final did horrible by the way: Chucho, Calleri and now Nalbo
