I don't think it's such unexpected he had bad days and months that's true but he's still a champion made 3GS finales won one reached the 1 spot so i still believe in him, in his talent and confidence will come with victories Vamos campeón !yay! :wavey:

If he doesn't choke his only serious competition is Almagro and Calleri.

Hopefully he can win this title because maybe finally winning another singles title after so long will along him to play his best game consistently.

This is awesome. First quarterfinal match in ages, hasn't lost a set, top seed in a tournament, already got 2 matches under his belt, so he must at least have some confidence. It's only Starace he has to play against, so thats gotta be a reassuring thought. Lets get into the Semis JC and then win your first title in ages. VAMOS!!!

He keeps saying he plays well etc, so it's really only the confidence he lacks...So if he can boost that hopefully we are in for a great clay court season!

Starace is no joke on clay, I've seen him play quite alot of times and wondered why hes not in the top 50 atleast, he worried Federer at Rome last year.
