Let's define "the loser" of a tournament by giving an example:

The loser of the Australian Open 07 is Luis Horna, since

Federer d. Gonzalez in the Final
Gonzalez d. Haas in the Semifinal
Haas d. Davydenko in the Quarterfinal
Davydenko b. Berdych in the Fourth Round
Berdych d. Tursunov in the Third Round
Tursunov d. Mirnyi in the Second Round
Mirnyi d. Horna in the First Round.

If it ends with a qualifier, you can continue.

More losers:
US Open 06: Stoppini
Wimbledon 06: Rusedski
French Open 06: Marach
Australian Open: Vicente

It would be interesting to have a list of tournament losers.

Isn't this called the "Wooden Spoon" on WTAWorld? It sounds much nicer than "The Loser" anyway. :tape:
