awesome stuff, but I'm sorry there's just no way I'm gonna pay for something like this:o

LOL! For me it'd depend on how much it is. I was in an official club for a music group a few years back and it was worth every penny, you got advance concert sales and stuff and they updated it all the time with kick ass exclusives. If it's like that then it's worth it lol

'bout time Andy's people got a fan club going. :rocker2:

I pay $10/yr for the Pearl Jam fan club and I get so much cool stuff like exclusive DVDs and other stuff PJ doesn't sell outside of the club, and best of all they give you free concert tickerts with awesome seats! So if Andy's club offers something like this, I might spring a few bucks for it. ;)

LOL tangy I didn't know you were in the Pearl Jam Fan club.

That's totally my era. I remember hearing Evenflow, Black, and Alive around ninth grade and it floored me. Seemed so different at the time.

Ten is one of the best albums ever made. :rocker2:

I still remember Pearl Jam...heard people talking about it way back when. ;)

LOL tangy I didn't know you were in the Pearl Jam Fan club.

Surprising, isn't it? ;) But for ten bucks, I get great seats at concerts and get to hear Eddie Vedder babbling on about crap no one knows but him. Can't beat that. They are one of the greatest bands to come out of the 90s.

Oh be quiet up you :baby: http://www.inquisition.nu/forums/images/smilies/twak.gif

Yeah... but what would anyone get from this AR club?

I mean .... what do I care if there are Andy pictures I haven't seen? I know what the guy looks like.

It just seems odd to me.

I agree star. But if they're offering discounted tickets to matches, I'm there.

Did not like Stone Temple Pilots as much as le Pearl Jam et la Nirvana, but as they are part of the so-called "soundtrack of my generation," I do enjoy hearing their songs.

I taught a popular music appreciation class at a camp this summer for 13-16 year olds. Some of them heard Pearl Jam in the womb. :scared:

oh I liked Nirvana as well, but i dunno i found STP the better of the 3. I still know the words to some of their songs :scared: i remember in elementary school we went on field trips and stuff and there i was with my walkman and my sister's STP cassette listening to it, while the rest were listening to other bullshit pop crap

It's great to have big sisters. :)

tangy, I don't really see how they could offer discounted to matches. Concert tours are a little different because a particular act works with a partcicular tour promotor, and that promoter works with specific venues (I can be moe specific about this bu it's irrelevant). Tennis tournaments are owned by a particular entity that has nothing really to do with the players who play.

The perks of Andy's club to me sounded like more personal updates from Andy himself and also the giveaways and stuff.

Oh well, if Andy's just gonna be handing out more shoelaces to fans, forget it. :ras:

Well they opened this Club Roddick thing.... they didn't really announce it but stuff for Club Roddick just sort of appeared yesterday... they have articles and videos and pictures.... but is it really worth almost $30? hmm

ok...im gonna say what no one else is saying....except the fans who email me

Except for the photo they send you, Club Roddick is doing for $30 what RO does for free and better

:bounce:

And it just makes them look foolish to be asking for money for essentially ....... nothing.

hmmmmm... well they have stuff we can't get like official videos and stuff lol but the stuff from the matches, yeah. we got that :yeah:

I'm kinda shocked it's so expensive actually... I just didn't expect it to be that much.

Fumus
04-01-2004, 02:22 PM
how much? That is pretty sweet you get to chat with Andy though...

Fumus
04-01-2004, 02:22 PM
On RO you can't talk to Andy, Andy doesn't even know about RO...

Deboogle!.
04-01-2004, 02:33 PM
um.... you get to chat once a YEAR lol... if that's all that's special, that's an expensive chat lol

It's just about $30 (US), and about $20 if you only want to be able to access the online content... so far it's pics and videos and some articles that don't even really appear to have a whole lot to do with Andy that much lol

In theory, I think it's a cool idea. It just seems expensive for the demographics of most Andy fans.

04-01-2004, 02:38 PM
yea, no, I like RO alot...

I am watching highlights as I type...if you guys could get in contact with Andy or one of you guys did that thing and took questions from people to give to him it would be sweet! You website right now is 100x better than AR.com just on pure content alone!

Deboogle!.
04-01-2004, 02:43 PM
aww Proph will be happy to read that :)

But, we're a fansite and aren't trying to be anything else. I would personally be uncomfortable if we WERE trying to step on Andy's official site. By and large, it's run by a bunch of really nice people who just really like Andy a lot and try hard to do the best they can. I'd rather just try to make our site the best it can possibly be and just concentrate on what we do well. Andy's official site SHOULD be the only site where there's "personal contact" with Andy.... if I'm making sense. It's just too bad they had to charge so much to do it. If they made it $10 or $15 it wouldn't seem as much like a money-making scheme and it'd be just plain more affordable to more of the teenagers that populate Andy's message board lol

Fumus
04-01-2004, 02:49 PM
yea but there is still no reason in my eyes why you can't talk Andy or contact him as your website...

Deboogle!.
04-01-2004, 02:51 PM
I suppose... but since none of us know Andy at all, we'd have to go through the official website. and for some reason I don't see them sharing lmao... they're all VERY aware of us already

Fumus
04-01-2004, 02:52 PM
haha, no but I am sure if you wanted too you could go to that Andy chat like I said, and ask RO questions that people gave you..

Proph
04-01-2004, 04:24 PM
lmao...i can't see them sharing willingly either....of course if I was able to get to Toronto this year I'd try to corner him and ask a question or two on RO's behalf but other than us tracking him down at tourneys we'd be hard pressed to get contact. They're nice enough to us but we gotta be realistic...in a way we're in competition with them and they know it.

that's very sweet skyler, lol...makes my day
