Irarkli Labadze

He was so completely charming in his win over Blake. He endeared himself to the crowd (what was left of it anyway.)

He sort of looked like a big thug out there because he looks like his is about 30 instead of 22 with his big heavy body and his dark five o'clock shadow. But when he won he wanted to hug everyone and he loved the crowd and showed his appreciation for them my waving and tapping over his heart to show how happy he was. His smile was radiant. It made me happy that he won.

And the kid hits his ground strokes very very hard.

He's such an exciting player. BTW he looks quite young here.

really great result this week for irakli. i´m quite proud of him :) i can imagine how happy he was after the victory over blake. it´s always nice to see him on court. have you been there to see the match, star? or where are you from?

Irakli Is Back in Indian Wells, lets see him repeat that! LETS GO IRAKLI!

03-07-2005, 03:23 AM
Is he nice? I haven't seen him play a match that he's won. Only when he's losing and screaming at birds and the wind. Maybe he's just eccentric
He shares a coach with Jurgen Melzer, which gives him some brownie points :) (for me)

03-07-2005, 01:19 PM
 Yea he's hilarious! Thats why i like watching him, he has amazing shots but he really needs to put in a waaay better work ethic and get in better shape.

03-09-2005, 04:20 AM
Ladabdze actually has good potential if he would lose a lot of weight. I'm thinking he is about 225 and he needs to get down to about 180-190. He has good shots and he played Roddick well in the 1st round of the Australian Open before getting tired. In fact on one point, he was drawn out wide and andy roddick moved in for a volley, so he hits a weak lob and sits down on the ground instead of moving back to the middle, that how out-of-shape this guy is.

03-23-2005, 10:29 PM
Yea but he just beat Younes which is good, there is a pic of him serving during the match and he is still quite fat. :o

04-17-2005, 02:01 AM
Is it possible to change the spelling of the thread title, star? :)
Irakli at RG in 2004 :yeah:

04-17-2005, 02:03 AM
Actually I think the dud spelling is something that Irakli would appreciate.

Nice pic Kristen.

06-14-2005, 11:34 PM
he was playing on the court next to daniele yesterday so i took a few pic sof him here ya go guys! i still think he's a funny guy i like him!

06-15-2005, 07:11 AM
It was funny yesterday when he broke his racket and some guy approached him and asked him if he can hive his racket, Irakli laughed and said yeah but it was completely destroyed!!!!

Anyway i hope Irakli returns we have to support our fellow Orthodox brothers!

06-18-2005, 04:58 PM
i want to get marats broken racquet lmao

11-10-2005, 08:15 PM

just one question: When I`ll get the opportunity to see Labadze on Tv again?I'm from Germany and i can receive here Eurosport and DSF, the two sports canals... when is his next game? I think he`s just a good player... a little bit too fat but ok... want to see him again, in action!

Silly fangirl.

Just can't get enough of the studmuffin. It'd be interesting to see him play one day. I've heard him across the courts, but never watched him. Woe is me.

01-27-2006, 09:06 PM
What happens with Irakli? I think that he is a great player, and I support him, but where's Irakli? I don't see him in any tournament.

Andrezieux Challenger this week:
Daniel Kollerer (AUT) vs (q)Mathieu Montcourt (FRA)

Thierry Ascione/Edouard Roger-Vasselin (FRA) vs Daniel Kollerer/Irakli Labadze (AUT/GEO)

My, what a well-behaved team THAT will be.

EDIT: Added a photo from sydney, a couple of years ago

Irakli seems to have fallen down a bit? Having played on Challengers this year, he is not quite at his peak.

ATP heavyweight champion Irakli Labadze plays Alex Peya in the first round of Wimbledon. Looks like a 50/50 match to me. GL

06-23-2006, 07:42 PM
i hope he wins a match or 2 (or more) so i can see him on broadcast TV

06-30-2006, 05:56 PM
Irakli really has had a dream Wimbledon so far. He just won his first round in doulbes and he has a good chance versus Fish tomorrow. GOOD LUCK! :D

Labadze definitely needs to lose some weight. With that beer belly, no one could take him as a serious competitor.

07-30-2006, 08:59 PM
Well he hasnt decided to play any of the US Open series which is dissapointing because he is in such great form right now  5-1 Since Wimbledon yet he wont play any tournaments  Hopefully he is out training hard and getting inshape instead of wasting away on the couch :o

08-24-2006, 10:48 PM
Irakli hasnt played a pro match in over a month. So much for that momentum of confidence  Cmon Irakli get back out there!

08-27-2006, 11:04 PM
Well Irakli decided not to play US Open. BAD MOVE, he could have inflicted so much damage :awww:

09-10-2006, 09:14 PM
Irakli lost first round to Peric 7-6 6-0 in the Dusseldorf Challenjer :o :help: Hopefully he can find his form soon

Labadze play? :help:

10-31-2006, 02:54 AM
Oh hell no. He hasnt been in the court in like a month. I can only imagine he has just stayed at home and partyed and his physich is scarily gross at this point....Geuss we will just have to wait and see next season to see what happens. :o

11-20-2006, 04:04 AM
Ok well season is over hopefully Irakli is working his ass off and not vegging out on the coach. He could have an awesome year if he put in the effort. I geuss we will see in a few months. Hopefully he enters into the qualifying draw for the Aussie Open. :o

11-24-2006, 03:24 AM
Well it turns out that Irakli has been playing but doing AWFUL. :help: Last three tournaments he played in were challengers and he lost all three matches he played with horrid ease. 6-3 being the closest, 6-0 being the easiest. Get you shit together man. So much talent. I bet he's a frickin whale now, if he would step it up a bit physically, he would be great. But of course.........he wont :o

12-11-2006, 04:32 PM
he has long hair now and looks pretty bad, always been one of my favourite players but doesnt have the passion to put that great alent to effect. he had so much potential.

12-13-2006, 08:00 PM
OMG someone actually posted in here.

12-18-2006, 12:35 PM
OMG someone actually posted in here.

LOL! I never even knew this thread existed until I was so bored at work today that I've virtually read everything on MTF :p I love Irakli anyway - he always makes me laugh - on and off court. Good Luck to him in 2007.

01-14-2007, 02:32 AM
OMG. Rosie its amazing to see another person in here. :inlove: Yeah Irakli didnt even enter the qualifying draw to the Aussie Open. He is just wasting his talent, its rediculous. :smash:

01-23-2007, 09:25 PM
ok i finally found a thread on irakli! i have been looking everywhere for a forum or whatever but now i have finally found something. to tell you the truth, i love fat irakli  if he can keep up the level up play he had at wimbledon and stay that weight, that would be awesome. perhaps he could shed a few pounds but i want him to stay nice and meaty. ;)

01-24-2007, 11:19 PM
alright well since a love irakli so much and there never seems to be any activity in here because he is never playing matches, i am going to do a "picture of the day" theme to liven his little thread up a bit. ;)

here is todays. look at this big juicy legs.

01-25-2007, 08:04 PM

02-24-2007, 04:05 PM
I don't see Labadze on any entry lists! Is he only going to play Davis Cup this year?

03-20-2007, 07:57 AM
i wish he would get himself toghether, some people work hard to even turn pro and he is there wasting the talent he has, some people would love to have his skill and make the most of things but not him, he couldnt give a shit.

03-23-2007, 09:28 PM
oh no. he was well off to begin with, he is just burning his talent to smitherings. hopefully he will play some clay events, he usually does. CMON IRAKLI. get back in the game.

04-27-2007, 10:36 PM
i doubt it, he is a lazy bastard.

Fired Up!
05-10-2007, 05:03 PM
Irakli has had an Operation on the right hand and missed Many Tournaments including OZ Open just to play in Davis Cup against Serbia but he Couldnt Get well by then.. Poor Lado ( Chikhladze) Couldnt do anything alone with the 2 Stupid Juniors, Chanturia and Khrikadze .. Lado is in top 500 but he has wins over Frederico Gil this year, and he also took Ilia Bozoljac to a 3rd set Tiebreaks and played a Great match against Tipsarevic .. If I were a GS Organizer, I'd give Lado only a Qualie WC and he'd make HUUUGE Upsets..He resists 5 set matches with ease! Irakli is supposed to get well soon, If not Already.. We shall see!

04-16-2008, 02:43 PM
He entered the Prague Challenger  Is he planning a come back

08-01-2008, 11:41 PM
Labadze = Biggest joke of my life.

He should get a tattoo saying "Indian Wells 2004 SF Forever"
