I think Fabrice withdraw with an elbow injury. I saw it on the draw sheet. Well, sorry to hear that he has an injury, but not sure of the severity, probably just a precaution, hopefully not so serious that he will be ready for AO.

But I'm glad. Now Juanqui can smooth into his first match of the year. It's tough to jump in after a month off and face a tough opponent. Though I don't know who's that qualifier guy, but he's Aussie, home-court advantage, I hope he won't give Juanqui too much trouble. BTW, with the time difference, his match is just about 7 or 8 hours away. Good luck, Juanqui baby .

good news about Monica:

Seles outslugs Rubin in Hong Kong

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
HONG KONG - Former world number one Monica Seles warmed up for her Australian Open campaign with a gritty victory over Chanda Rubin in an exhibition event.
Seles ensured she will head Down Under next week in good heart - albeit nursing a sore foot - after outlasting world number 13 Rubin 5-7, 6-1, 6-2 to win the Hong Kong Ladies Challenge.

"Ill go to Melbourne and rest my foot a little," said Seles, who said her foot was "acting up a little again. Ive practised a lot on it this week but I just need to take care of it."

Nagging injury aside, Seles said she was pleased with the way she had performed after losing the opening set.

"It was a great level of tennis out there. It could have gone either way. We were both hitting the ball so hard," said a delighted Seles, who will be chasing her 10th Grand Slam title in Melbourne.

"She was too good in the first set but I think I raised my game in the second," said Seles, who has never lost to Rubin, defeating her in their last meeting at the Madrid Open last year.

Although Seles has been in devastating form en route to the final, sweeping aside Chinas Peng Shuai and rising Russian starlet Maria Sharpova, Rubins heavy groundstokes caused her problems throughout.

After an early exchange of breaks in the opening set, both players missed chances to capitalise on break point opportunities before Rubin secured the crucial breakthrough in the 11th game after forcing Seles to net a weak forehand.

Seles typically hit back with a barrage of winners to break Rubin three times to clinch the second set and swept a total of nine straight games as she raced to a 5-0 lead in the third.

Rubin gamely broke Seles as she served for the match and pinched another, but the American clinched the title with a searing crosscourt backhand.

"I started off pretty well. I had some good shots early on and then kind of tripped up a little and she stepped up her game and the result was a lot of games in her favour," said a disappointed Rubin.

I don't think he's a fluke. I'm surprised that he beat Safin. But I also remembered seeing him winning Toronto a few years back, and he was impressive.

But I guess I have a different opinion than everyone else. Cos I don't think Thomas nor Costa are flukes. Albert is a great claycourter and even if Juanqui didn't blow it, Albert won't give him an easy time. Though, I think Lleyton was lucky to win Wimby since his draw is unbelievable. Not that I think he couldn't win without the draw's help but it wouldn't have been so easy if he wasn't as luck to not face a name like Krajicek or some real grass courter.

It seems to be working fine today, so fingers crossed. But as long as it's not a problem with my computer. :D

I've been quite busy these days. I'm writing a heap of horoscopes so I can have some free time during AO. Of course with my luck, I'll get some long text to translate just before it starts. *sigh*

Layla :wavey: I'm glad that you are back. I was beginning to worry that your computer is failing you again since you weren't here for the past couple of days. I hope everything will be fine from now on. I can't imagine not having a computer for the Aussie Open. (I was also thinking about taking my computer to the shop to repair that soundcard but am afraid that I will miss my computer too badly since now Juanqui will be playing for the next 3 weeks).

Anyway, best of luck to you for a better performance from your computer:).

I don't think it makes him a loser at all, at least I've never considered him to be a loser. There's nothing loserish about being hopelessly in love with someone. It only proves you are passionate and are not afraid to give your heart away, even if it is immediately broken. The real loser is Buffy for treating him like shit throught, no matter how much he helped her and for acting all disgusted when he reveals his feelings for her. She is the one who is afraid to love again, thereby striking up a relationship with someone like Riley  because it was a safe thing to do.

Spike remains by far the most interesting character in Buffy since Oz is not around anymore and he is the main reason I still enjoy watching Buffy. :)

That Spike falling in love doesn't make him a loser. I in fact think that they are meant to be. But lately, Spike just wasn't the same anymore. The wittiness is not there and his character is making a turn for the worse. But then, I can't really imagine him to be like that forever. What's the point of having Spike without his spikiness. So I'm waiting for him to turn around soon :) .

first of all Spike doesn't even have a soul, unlike Angel, and being a vampire he is supposed to be incapable of love. and i am disappointed with Spike's charatcer because his attraction for Buffy has become obsession, and now Buffy is all that he can think about. i just think it's sad how the writers have turned his character into a pathetic Buffy-slave when he used to be so strong-willed and witty.

I thought you would like Sutter. The Flames were unbeaten after Sutter took over. I don't think they can make it to the playoff since the Western Conference is really super competitive. But I'm glad that they are at the right track. Hopefully, it'll get better.

My Canucks :D. What can I say, they are a dream, great dream. The Canucks was the best team in 2002, with the highest winning percentage in the league in the calendar year. And Bertuzzi and Naslund as the best scoring in the league in 2002. I think we are finally breaking thru, it's been a long wait but it's worth the while.

So, do you get to watch Hockey on TV?

Okay, I think it must be something really canadian since you ask, my guess is, curling :D:.

In my dreams!

People here care only about baseball and football. The game is the CFL Labor Day Classic between Edmonton and Calgary. On that day, all the other sports channel and major network already loaded with all leagues of football in US and that little channel had to take up CFL.

I guess ppl in Vancourver don't like Mark Messier very much but he is very good in looking for talent. The other day I read about his comment on Bertuzzi when Mark was still a Canuck and Bertuzzi was a nobody. Mark said all Bertuzzi needed is to believe in himself and I guess big Todd finally get the message.

Well, Calgary produced two of the most well-known quarter backs in NFL, Jeff Garcia and Doug Flutie. Garcia is very well known in the southwest region since he play for San Fran. He has a chain of Mexican Restaurant (probably francise) in the region called Garcia.

Nope, Mark is as evil as Mike Keanan. We boo them both when they come into our building. Well, I must say, Bert is a great player, kinda unexpectedly. But Canucks fans are very loyal to our players. I love them no matter what, so Keanan was the most hated man when he traded Trevor Linden, who is the soul of our team. I think Burke is smart enough to get Linden back, eventhough Linden is not as good as he was, but we just love him as our own no matter what.

Well, Messier, IMO, is a waste of money in the first place. We were a young team then and I didn't see how Mark could fit in. And we were so short of money and his $7M salary were all wasted as the team didn't improve a bit when he was here. And bcos of him, they got Keanan as our coach. And Keanan almost drove Naslund off town. Nassy said he demanded trade when Keanan was the coach bcos he was treated like shit and he was so very upset. Thank God we got rid of Keanan and keep Nassy.

I don't watch NFL, so I've never heard of them. But glad that there's Canadians in the NFL which are great. The only non-hockey player that I know that is famous in US is Steve Nash of the Dallas Mav. Since he's from Vancouver, we got him on the news almost everyday  . But I like him a lot, since he led the Canadian team to do so well in Sydney Olympics.

I guess the management wanted Mark was because he would be a good influence on young players. He was an excellent leader but I thought the problem was Linden was so well loved by the players and fans that it caused big problem when Mark came aboard. Also, Keenan was no help. I still wondered how Mark and Mike can work together, both are too head strong.

Both Garcia and Flutie are Americans but not successfully in NFL. They were signed by Calgary Stampede and when they won Grey Cup for Calgary, they caught eyes in NFL teams again.

Well, the fans didn't agree with the mgmt at that time and we were right. And when Crawford resigned from the Avs, we all were hoping that we will grab him as soon as we can. We were right again. I think Burke knows that there's some truth to the fans' liking, we are pretty knowledgable hockey fans in Vancouver, I must say :D. I got to admit that Burke our GM is good. He's not really likable, very serious biz man and never see him smile ever. But his deal has turned out great and seems like he had picked all our missing pieces. I was upset that he traded Mogilny to Devils for Morrison, bcos I love Mogilny. But damn that he's right again. Mind you though, I think trading Mogilny to somewhere is inevitable.

Not exactly, there are some fans here but not that much. Remember I talked about when the season begin, a radio show asked what's a hat trick and it took the third called to guess the right answer. I said guess cos the guy was not very confident when he answered.

It's interesting that you like Wayne but not Mark. Probably because Wayne was never a Canuck. I wondered if Mark had never came to Vancouver, will you hate him that much?

A great goalie is a must for all successful team and Sean is one of those.

I remembered that hat trick. So when someone in your team scored a hat trick, does anyone throw hat? Just wondering :D.

Well, who doesn't like Wayne. He's not only a great player but he's really a great person. He put Canada on the map :p. I still remembered how heart broken he was on the press conference when he traded to the Kings. (Though, most of the NHLers are very loyal, since they all cried in those press conference.) But Wayne has this super human image of a hockey player.

Mark is never in that status. Though, in real life, Mark is quite a nice guy. My sister bump into him after games, he was always very polite. So I don't necessarily hate Mark as a person. But the Mark Messier deal still left big bad taste in the Vancouver fans month, that's for sure.:)

I call him a fluke. I am one of those idiots :o But hey, what can I do? Marat lost to him in AO final. I guess, it's easier for me to blame Thomas than be angry with Marat for his poor performance then. I am very biased when it comes to my fav player. Shame on me

On the other hand, he was not very impressive in 2002 apart from the AO. No more titles, no more finals, no more big victories.

Morning everyone! :wavey:

*phew* Thank goodness Juanqui won, that was a really tight match, not at all what I expected! Anyway, congrats Junaqui! :D

HIP HIP HOORAY! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

DiP lost to Mardy Fish in the final round of qualifiers. Such a shame! I haven't seen him play in ages. :( Well, I still have a two of his matches from RG 2002 somewhere on tape, including the 4th round match he lost to Marat. :D

LOL Zosse! :D But actually, Thomas really was injured for a better part of the year, unlike Ken Doll. I still believe in him and I hope he shows all doubters what he's made of this year and puts his injuries behind him for good. :)

I rarely consider anyone's victory a fluke in sports unless it's the case of that Australian speed skater who won a gold medal in last year's Olympics when the other skaters (who were WAY ahead of him) tripped over each other and fell, and he just skated past them and won. And the same thing happened when he qualified for the final in the first place. :D That guy has amazing luck! He basically won because he was the slowest and could thus avoid trouble in front. Now THAT is a fluke! ;)

Sorry I wasn't here yesterday. I was running behind on my scheduled work for the day and I had to keep on working. :( I had to bear with this pace for the sake of AO. ;)

Yep, I accept that I am wrong about Thomas. But I seem to return to my early teens (sometimes) when I support Marat, so my thoughts should not be taken too seriously :D.

I also remember that LUCKY Oz skater (Steve Bradbury or smth) LOL. That was too funny. And he really was a lucky guy. I remember the commentators were saying that he had had a really bad crash a couple of years ago and had, I think, over 100 stitches  So he has tasted both good and bad luck. And it's nice when good luck comes during the Olympic Games :)

And what did I say about my bad luck during Grand Slams?

Today I've received my new task: ES regulations to translate. They are the worst! You will not believe how many editing and proof-reading you have to do before the final copy is approved :fiery:

First I have to translate it and make sure that all standard phrases are translated according to the approved wording in Lithuanian. Then I send my draft copy to the Lithuanian language editor to check my Lithuanian (we are very proud of our language and have a special commission monitoring the correct use of language. And it is such a pain in the ass (pardon me). These so-called language specialists have a very noble task to protect the language from barbarisms, etc. But quite often they just overdo it. E.g. about 5 years ago the commission decided that "floppy" cannot be called "diskette" in Lithuanian and came up with the following suggestion "flexible magnetic medium" . Can you imagine? Luckily, we are now again allowed to use the word "diskette").

Back to my point. I have to recheck the text after the editor to see if the corrections do not change the meaning of the text. Then I send the revised copy to another editor from another translation centre. After yet another revision the copy goes to some expert of that particular field and then it is returned to me again for final check-up . Now that's what I call bureaucracy! If translation is such a complicated thing in the ES, it's scary to think what do you have to do to pass any legal act or make a binding decision.

Anyway, it's good that I got this task well before the AO. Maybe I'll be lucky and finish it in time :D

Layla
01-06-2003, 11:34 AM
Ouch! That process sounds horrible and even downright stupid! :fiery: Luckily I don't get to translate such important and complicated text but I hate the editing and proof-reading part anyway. It's my least favorite part of the translating process. However, I do think you're probably lucky you got it now and not say next Monday. ;) I'm still praying they don't hit me with anything for the time being, I'm busy enough with the horrorscopes.

Oh and the same thing is happening in the Slovene language. They are coming up with these ridiculous terms for computer-related words. It makes me sick and I can't use them. But we do still call floppy "disketa" so that's ok. My edition of Windows is in Slovene and I just hate that because I'm having a hard time figuring out what is what.

Good luck with your work!

I miss the time when I was a member of a fitness club, but it's too expensive and I don't have that much time anymore. I also have numerous contraptions at home that I used regularly in the past but are just gathering dust now. My muscles are definitely not what they used to be. :( I want them back! I think I need to tear myself away from the computer long enough to lift some weights and do some push-ups. My aerobics classes usually don't take care of the arm and shoulder muscles, which is a real shame. Hackie and some of you have been talking about Juanqui and claycourter not getting much respect. I of course agreed totally. I don't know, I have an impression that the term claycourter is being used to belittle some players . But I somehow thinks that Juanqui had done a good job last year to try to get some recognition from the field. Though, those articles today that mentioning his win still opens by mentioned his biggest career success was on clay . Fine, they'll see.

But regardless, I don't think he will ever get the recognition he deserves. I mean, look at Guga, and everyone just think JC is as best a carbon-copy of Guga. And Guga, with all his achievement, still no respect. I just read this from Wertheim's column:

I'm a fan of Gustavo Kuerten, and I think he's a great player and an all-around good guy. Yet he does not seem capable of going one step further -- achieving the consistency of Lleyton Hewitt, for example. Is it Kuerten's nagging injuries? Or is he a head case like Marat Safin?

This so called Guga fan . Remember 2000, how many tourneys Guga won in 2000 and 2001? To me, he's pretty consistent, if not bcos of the injury.

Vera

Okay, that's my rant for the day. From what I read (at least in the tourney thread), I believe that some of the Aussie posters got to watch Juanqui's first match and said that he played badly. Okay, the rust, and the non-familiar territory of Australia :P (he hasn't been there for 2 years!), first match after a whole month and a half, and alien surface (Rebound Ace as opposed to Green Set). That's enough to throw him off :D.

Hehehe, I'm not making excuses for him, just want to rationalize the situation so I don't have to go panic :). Anyhow, let's focus on the next one and hope it will be smooth sailing from now on :D.

I think you have to take some (many) posts on boards with a pinch of salt. I believe that many things you read on the net would never be said in an eye-to-eye conversation. People often tend to exaggerate their feelings when they post about players. How can you hate someone you have never met  ?

As regards media reports or some comments about certain players, there are too many cliches that the reporters use. The Spaniards and South Americans are almost always labelled as "clay courters" irrespective of their actual performances. Think of D. Nalbandian in 2002 - one title on clay, a Wimbly final and a title indoors (carpet). I bet you'll find many articles still calling him a clay court specialist. Or another label - Marat is a headcase. Media kept repeating this even when he was losing matches because of his injuries (pains in the back)

And do not be afraid if Juanqui loses in the next round or so. I think he needs a couple of good and competitive matches under his belt before going to Melbourne. I believe it would be just enough to play in QF or SF, have a couple of days of rest and start the attack on GS title :) (btw, I wish the same luck to Marat and hope he does not lose the first round  but I do not want him to stay too long in Sydney as well :D)

I know. I tried not to let them bother me. Afterall, I like my fave for his own qualities, not for what ppl said. Though I certainly do want everyone to love him but it's impossible.

Sure, Marat is not as good mentally as Hewitt, but he's definitely a great tennis player, no doubt. Don't worry, Marat is going to show the world what damage he can do. Did you read the article in the Aussie Yahoo site, Marat commenting on his blonde entourage? He's just lovely. If he's not a great tennis player, he's still a good person. I think he's pretty wise in his age.

I probably don't mind if Juanqui doesn't win this one, just don't want him to lose to Srichaphan, that's all :D.

That's my favorite part of the workout. :) I put on great music and pretend I'm a body builder for a while. :o ;)

Well, I'm not an exercise fanatic or anything, but last summer I made a promise to myself to get more fit so I could run around (literally) at college and not die trying to catch my breath. I started out going every day for an hour, but it eventually got down to three times a week for an hour (hafeta rest those muscles ;)). I do a combination of things, treadmill and weight machines. I can usually go when there's hardly anyone there and I feel like I have the place to myself :)

I don't go to the gym at school because I'm lazy :o and because I figure having to walk everyone is good enough. But since I couldn't find work last summer (and most likely not this summer either) I don't just want to sit around doing nothing for three months.

Well there you go. If Guga can't get the recognition he deserves (for winning not only the Masters Cup but also a Masters Series title on hard) then the rest of our boys are doomed. The term "clay courter" is indeed used to belittle players and I don't know why. Most people who learn to play tennis learn to play on a hard court. Translating your game to clay can't be easy and really, it's an achievement :)

They didn't have Almost Famous?!? :fiery::fiery::fiery: That's a crying shame! Did you write a complaint? That should be illegal. Errr, this may sound like sarcasm, but it's not. I'm dead serious! :fiery:

Dissident, I'm also glad that CD's don't fade with use, or there'd be nothing left of my copy of Chris Cornell's solo album. :o Remember I spent a large part of my life listening to vinyl and I was damn careful about how many times I allowed myself to listen to something. Skipping is just not attractive.

I... NEED... SLEEP! Lol, can't keep my eyes open anymore.

Goodnight TH and Dissident! Sweet dreams! :wavey:

LOL, goodnight Layla!

Well, movies are increasingly moving to DVD format and DVD players are getting cheaper. But as a replacement for the VCR they still have a long way to go. So writing a complaint would do no good  I can watch it some other time, I'm sure. And it's not the only place in town.

Diss, that recorder is probably really expensive, too. My school uses combination DVD/VHS machines but they are way over my budget. Plus DVD-Rs are :eek::eek::eek: even worse than blank CDs. So I'm going to stick to my guns on this one.

And I hate to leave you alone, but I have dinner duty so I have to go too. I'll be back to follow Guga's match with you (when does he play in relation to Michel? I haven't checked ANYTHING yet) afterwards.

See you later :wavey:

Hi guys!

I'm feeling a little better today -- but I STILL have the nasty cough and sneezing and wheezing!! Such a nuisance. But thanks for your concern and advice!!

If I could find a boy-toy/nice guy to shovel, I would! Sometimes a woman can be TOO independent... perhaps I could play the "helpless damsel-in-distress female" once in a while -- then some guy might help me! I try to do everything myself -- not always a good idea!

A little sun out there today -- helped me feel perkier. Still a lot of snow though -- great for skiiing!

Europe's been hit with storms, snow, flooding -- S of France and N Spain got hit, Paris, N Germany, Portugal is flooded, so are parts of France and Belgium -- how's Slovenia??

Ooh... when does my Rogi play?? Hope he wins! Juanqui got a bit of a scare but managed -- does he play Youzhny next?? If so, OJO, Don Juanqui!! ;)

:) Just caught up w all the posts today! All that CRAP people spew re: "claycourters"! Such a load of crapola! What is wrong w people out there? I'm SO sick and tired of reading the same old broken record... that's why I don't usually check US tennis sites -- bad enough I have to watch US coverage... I'd like a different perspective for a change...

We informed tennis lovers know better. And excuse me, but Alex Corretja has won 3 US outdoor hardcourt tourneys incl. Indian Wells AND we all know he beat the grass king Petey last year in DC.

And Moya won Cincy... Don Juanqui -- well, need I say more? I think the Amer. commentators barely recognized Guga's achievements (not to mention the "fans") because he wins on clay -- didn't he win Cincy 2001?? he beat Rafter.

I give up sometimes.

Sorry -- my rant for the day!! :p

Now let's get back to the REAL point of all this... GOOD, no GREAT tennis -- by anyone who plays it, incl. those "flukes" Johansson and Costa...

I seem to recall that Pandy's yr ended in a rather lacklustre way -- but do the commentators mention this??? they conveniently gloss over it... and what about our over-rated over-hyped AA? I think they've all forgotten that he skulked away from Shanghai last yr... hmm... oh yes, he had a "hip" injury or sth like that... and he's all better from that already, just in time for Kooyong -- where he doesn't have to face his nemesis Petey??? V interesting indeed...

You guys are worried about Roger, I'm worried about Michel. He needs some mental fortitude and I wish he'd stop denying it and seek help. Morning everyone :wavey:

The server is acting up again? Took me almost 5 mins to get into the JCF forum. I think they are trying to discourage us from posting so much, afraid the traffic might crash the server again?

Anyhow, woke up to find that the undesirable results of yesterday didn't get any better, as KD and Pandy eliminated Tommy and Michel. And Srichaphan is still there (okay, I admit I don't like him and I hope he lost before seeing Juanqui in the 3rd). But I must say, the result are expected so I was just hoping for miracles:D .

Hackie, KD's probably in a roll, so don't feel too bad for Michel. I felt sad for Nico, I mean, bagelled by a LL:eek: , that's embarrassing. I hope he rebounds quickly. And pleeassse Rogi can't be hurt, it's AO time, he needs to be there to prevent those evil one from winning.

Apparently she does. Can you believe it? Her newest project is "Happiness" and she's doing a tour in Australia in early 2003 ;)

"Happiness" - Solo Theater Tour - Spring 2003
(*Subject to Change - Current As of November 24, 2002)

Laurie Anderson will continue to tour "Happiness" in performing arts centers in the Far East & Europe. This solo work features stories and simple, mainly acoustic instruments. Like much of her work, this one will look at contemporary culture, through various filters: synthetic language, love songs, animal communication and techno burn out.

LAURIE ANDERSON: Happiness
http://www.pomegranatearts.com/images/proj_l_anderson-greenberg.jpg

For the past year I have been looking for ways to escape my own perspective by putting myself in weird situations. But shock in the form of terrorism propelled me into a different place. I imagine it is like this for a lot of people now, in uncertain times we find ourselves living more intensely in the present and asking the questions that have been lurking uncomfortably in the background, like what do we really believe in after all?

"Happiness" is my way of looking at some of the things that both interest and trouble me: the evolution of behavior, how we learn and what we remember, expectations, the meaning of justice and the effects of increasing speed; colored by the darker elements of doubt and fear.

Every story should have a beginning, a middle and an end but as Godard has said "not necessarily in that order". I have never really trusted traditional narrative and in this piece I am trying to move even further away from it and express the way my own mind actually works. In "Happiness" stories float and images recur in different guises. I am not looking for conclusions but for another way to look at the world.

"Happiness" is also in part a self-portrait. In my past work, I have often mentioned things that I have seen or heard. This is the first time I have used so many experiences from my own life, which in this case has become a kind of touchstone for thinking about deception and fiction, the stories we tell ourselves so that we can go on.

In "Happiness" the music is a pulse and a metronome. The sounds are a combination of keyboards, violin, and digital processing as well as several MIDI triggers. Finally, I get a lot of pleasure out of DJing these sounds which allows me to improvise. Unlike the technically more complex multi-media shows I often do, "Happiness" is meant to be flexible and in the moment.

- Laurie Anderson

His name is Jose Theodore, a canuck (French Canadian). I like that he still speaks English with a bit French accent. And he plays guitar in his band (and he said he perform in front of 10000 ppl before. But his day job is a Goalie, a damn good one :D .

Vera, finally I can see Jose without his goalie mask. I like those Canucks speaking English too.

:) Hey Lee!

I was just wondering where you were! How are you today? I think my cold is mostly gone now, thank God! Gets in the way of anything... esp. my work.

Zosse -- a pretty good bunch of guys you like there! Where are you from? You do translation like Layla? Neat -- some of my best friends are translators!

Hi zosse, haven't introduce myself! I am Lee, a Canadian living in US and my fav. is Guga but somehow I hang out with a bunch of Juanqui and Rogi fans.

Hi Lee :wavey:

I have not introduced myself either. See, we, the lions, think that everybody should know everything about us :o :D. I'm a freelance translator, living in Lithuania with my beautiful dog and lovely crocodile (aka my boyfriend).

I know, Lee, why you hang out here. Because this is the best thread on this board ;) And we can cheer for Guga together here as well

Gotta go now! My crocodile is about to return from his basketball session ;)

Mighty busy today!

Have TKD class this morning and after inactive for 3 weeks, Master JT put everyone through a drill that I can guarantee everyone will be mighty sore by the end of day and also clear up my cold.

Bring the car to a car wash, I keep ignoring it since returning from the trip, have lunch with hubby, pick up photo from the trip, touch up the front of the car cause it seems like went through sand blasting during the trip (took me 30 minutes   ), order a printer on-line, etc, etc, etc. :D :D

Now I have to run to pick up Vince and drive him to his R/E class so another night with take out food as there's no time to prepare lunch tonight. :( :(

It's a waste that he has to be behind those Goalie mask!
His accent is really minimal. But still Francophone accent :) and I like it. He was on the talk after HNIC last sat and apparently, he's quite humorous too, talk about a guy who has everything  :D :) .

:) Just reading all your posts, guys!! Zosse -- crocodile, lol! Lee, I bet your photos are lovely! Mmm... the desert! v cool! Vera: you're a real Canadian -- you love hockey [I'm afraid I don't follow it but I am aware of the players somehow...] ILR, do you like French-Cdn accents? Do you see any N Amer hockey in UK?? Cdns are as crazy about hockey as the Brits or Europeans or Latinos are about football = soccer to us!

I used to follow baseball but I've given up on the Blue Jays... so I'm back to tennis again! Tennis guys are hotter! ;)

Hey yeah, ILR, you can come to Montreal to visit the hockey player Jose, and then you can go to the TMS Montreal at the same time and catch all your faves! Sound good? Shall we meet there in August then? Vera, you coming too? Let's make it a party and set up our own live cheering thread for Juanqui, Rogi, Carlos, Marat, Alex [he has to come], and the list goes on... don't forget your flags! :bounce:

I know, I'm crazy about Hockey (as much as tennis), my guy friends . But they all want me to be their girlfriends so they can watch as much hockey as they can :D. But hockey players are hot too, well, some of them and mostly those Europeans, or maybe some Francophones :D.
