:wavey: Hi Vera!

Just catch up with all those posts!

I am pretty good so far today. Thanks Layla!

Happy that Kimmy sort of win the match today. :bounce: :bounce:
Sorry for Venus injury. She deserves better result than she had this year and having end the season of such a sad note is sad. Hopefully, she can come back next year much stronger.

There weren't too many posts for you to catch up with. ;) We weren't very chatty today.

I'm sorry, but I'm becoming very sleepy. I'm not even gonna watch the match to the end. I'll just go to bed or I will dislocate the jaw from yawning so much.

Vera, Jennifer just broke to go 2-1 up. She's actually playing incredibly well.

Good night all! Have wonderful dreams and wake up refreshed! :wavey:

Venus Williams retires from WTA Championships with leg injury

By BETH HARRIS, AP Sports Writer
November 10, 2002

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Venus Williams' season ended abruptly when a leg injury forced her out in the first set of a semifinal against Kim Clijsters in the WTA Championships on Sunday.

Clijsters, the fifth seed from Belgium, led 5-0 when Williams called for a trainer. After a brief discussion, Williams approached the umpire to say she was done.

Wearing a white wrap on her left calf and heavy tape on her left ankle, Williams walked over to Clijsters, hugged her and then waved to the fans as she left the court to applause at Staples Center. Williams earned $191,000 for her 13 minutes on court.

Clijsters will play either No. 1 Serena Williams or third-seeded Jennifer Capriati in Monday night's final of the $3 million tournament.

Williams said she twisted her left ankle in a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Monica Seles on Friday night, but didn't feel the effects until Saturday night. The official diagnosis was a lower leg strain.

"I wasn't really able to move or get on my toes or change direction,'' Williams said. "I was taped to the max. Things were already going pretty bad. I was trying to end the points quickly.''

Williams' quick exit brought back memories of her controversial departure from the Tennis Masters Series at Indian Wells, Calif., in 2001. She pulled out of her semifinal against younger sister Serena at the last minute with tendinitis in her right knee, triggering massive booing by the crowd.

Serena was booed heavily when she beat Clijsters for the title, causing the sisters' father, Richard Williams, to level racial accusations. Serena has said she will not play at Indian Wells again.

"I'll never forget that,'' Venus said. "It was a pretty intense moment to go through.''

A year ago at the WTA Championships in Germany, Clijsters lost a three-set semifinal to Lindsay Davenport, who injured herself and pulled out of the final against Serena Williams.

"Maybe it's because of me,'' Clijsters said, grinning.

It was the fourth time in five years that Williams has pulled out from the season-ending championships that determine the WTA Tour's final rankings.

Three of her previous withdrawals came before she even played a match. Last year, she injured her left wrist practicing at home in Florida. In 2000, she had anemia and in 1998 she had left knee tendinitis. In 1999, she reached the semifinals before losing to Martina Hingis.

Clijsters' groundstrokes painted the lines and she won a game with a 111-mph ace as Williams barely moved off the service line. Clijsters broke Williams in the second game, then served a 40-love game for a 5-0 lead before the match ended.

"I saw she wasn't moving as well as she normally does,'' Clijsters said. "I was telling myself, `Just focus on the ball and don't look at whether she's moving.'''

Williams won just six points and had seven errors in her brief time on court. Clijsters hit 21 winners.

"I just wanted to try to see what I could do,'' Williams said. "I was a lot more disappointed than what I thought I'd be.''

A surprised Clijsters remained on court and hit balls with some fans.

Williams was playing her first tournament in a month and only her second since losing to Serena in the U.S. Open final in September. She finished the year with a 62-9 match record in 16 tournaments.

Williams withdrew from the Italian Open in May before her opening match with an injured right wrist.

Yeah, it has been really warm the past few days, that kind of heat that only a spectacular thunderstorm can break. Re: Juanqui's fans

At that Juanqui match I was at, there was this mother and her teenage daughter and friend behind me. The mother, my sis and I were busy cheering for Juanqui while her daughter [who knew nothing of tennis] just kept "drooling" over him w her friend -- "He's SO hot! He's gorgeous...etc." It was hilarious esp. when the daughter would say "Is it over yet?" All she wanted was his autograph!! I was laughing so much...

At the Hewitt/Mantilla match [when Mantilla upset Lleyton], a couple of French/North African women behind me were rooting for the underdog, saying to me that one of them goes for the "younger man" [en francais!] I taught them a couple of Spanish cheers for Felix and we all yelled them out! It was fun! The older women who really get into the matches are quite amusing!! ;)

You know who attracts women of all ages -- Pat Rafter!!

Kimmy :bounce: take out Serena in the finals! :bounce:

i felt so sorry for Venus. she was crying when she walked off the court. but her father and older sister where there to walk her off. and i'm sure Serena's win over Cappy would have put a smile on her face. that was a great match. Cappy actually led 3-1 in the 3rd with a break point to go up 4-1, but once again Serena was too solid at the end of the match. Serena had so many lucky net chords that after a while Cappy got so pissed that she went up to the net and smacked it with her racquet. :D i was rotflmfao. i wush Cappy could have won, but oh well... at least no all-williams final. :)

Well in defense of Andre - am I really saying this? - he DOES put a lot to charity.

He's personally put millions of his own money, and helped raised millions more in order to build a school in his home town.

So while I'm happy to insult him for being the brat he is on court - I'm not sure that his charity efforts are something we can critisize ;)

Serena to face Clijsters for season-ending title
November 10, 2002

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - Serena Williams, the world's No. 1 ranked player, rallied from a set down to beat third seed Jennifer Capriati, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 to advance to the final of the Sanex WTA Tour's season-ending Home Depot Championships presented by Porsche at Staples Center.

Williams will next face fifth seed Belgian Kim Clijsters, who advanced after second seed Venus Williams retired in the first set of their semifinal match due to a strain in her lower left leg. Venus said she twisted her ankle during a quarterfinal match against Monica Seles on Friday.

Clijsters was ahead 5-0 in the first set when Venus strained the peroneal muscle in her left leg just 13 minutes into the match.

It was the second time Venus pulled out of a match in California at the last minute. She didn't play in the semifinals against Serena, her younger sister, in the Tennis Masters Series at Indian Wells in 2001.

This was the fourth time in the last five years that Venus pulled out of the season-ending championships. Last year she hurt her left wrist and in 2000 she had anemia and in 1998 a knee injury prevented her from participating.

Serena lost the first set of her semifinal in just 32 minutes, but rallied over the final two sets, which lasted 99 minutes. Serena drilled 14 aces to just two for Capriati, but had 53 unforced errors to just 23 for Capriati. Serena also had 42 winners, while Capriati had only 11.

It was the seventh win for Serena over Capriati in 11 lifetime meetings and Williams has won the last six encounters.

Serena, the French Open, Wimbledon, and U.S. Open Champion, captured this event last year in Munich, when she won via a walkover against an injured Lindsay Davenport.

Clijsters is looking for her fourth title this year, while Serena is trying for her ninth championship of 2002. Serena has won all five lifetime meetings against Clijsters, including a three-set win at the Princess Cup in Japan in September.

The winner of this year's $3 million event will claim $765,000.

LoL... I'm laughing while typing this...

From a local shanghainese news website, it is reported that while the players are assembled at the bund for the official photo taking session. 9 flower girls came on stage to present the flowers to the players, the players in turn gave a kiss to the girls and the drama came when after marat gave his kiss to his girl, his little girl was so shy that she ran away from the stage , Marat was quite embarressed as he was the only one without a girl so he said in his low voice to persuade the girl to come back and take photo, but the girl kept shaking her head....

That is how this photo came about ...

LMAO!!! :D :D :D

But no one can resist the Russian's charms for long :D

MONSTERS AT HOME
- Suzane planned her father´s death, went to a motel, gave a birthday party, and was gonna spend her will...

By Solange Azevedo and Tito Montenegro in Epoca Magazine, Nov 11, 2002.
Translated to english

It was over midnight when the student Suzane Louise Richthofen, 19 years old, got home and found her parents sleeping. She turned on the corridor´s light and warned her boyfriend, Daniel Cravinhos de Paula e Silva, 21, and his brother, Cristian, 26. Armed with iron bars, the brothers entered the room and killed the couple Marisia and Manfred Albert von Richthofen with hits on the head. It was arranged that Daniel would stab Manfred, and Cristian would get Suzane´s mother. But, before the first stryke, the couple woke up and made an attempt of self-defense. Each one of them got five hits. Marisia was later hanged.

After the murder, Suzane and Daniel went to the Presidential Room of a luxuous motel in Săo Paulo. Cristian went for a snack at McDonald´s. Friday late night, eight days after the crime, Suzane gave herself up to the police. She didn´t let a single tear go down. “She is cold, dark and impetuous”, says the chief of police Domigos de Paula Neto, director to the DHPP (Homicide and People´s Protection Department), from Săo Paulo.

Pretty, happy and rich, Suzane did not work, had a car and everything she wished, along with a promising future, but since last week she is in the middle of a crime that stuns the whole country. Student of law, 1st year of one of the best Universities of Săo Paulo, master on Karate, fluent in english, german and spanish. Her very unique home problem knew was the parent´s ill-will to her boyfriend. The two were dating for the last three years, but from eight months to the date, Manfred and Marisia tired to make the daughter break up. They thought the date was getting far too serious, and they wanted to see Suzane far from that boy that didn´t study, didn´t have a stable job and had a very inferior standard of living. “Manfred had already implied to Daniel that he should go back to studying, or learn english, did something to get nearer their daughter´s level”, says Walter Abrahăo Nimir, Manfred´s freind and ex-boss in Dersa, statal of roads, where Suzane´s father worked as an engineer. The repugnance to the guy grew bigger as they discovered he was a user of marijuana.

The police officers working in the case learned from the couple´s friends that Suzane´s father, a 49 years-old german naturalized brazilian, was cogitating to send the daughter to study in Europe. To diminish the pressure at home, Suzane lied about a break-up. The mother, a 50-year-old psychiatrist, told her friends, joyfuly, that Suzane had “got rid of Daniel”. The girl, though, was still seeing the boy, secretely, in his house and in a cyber-coffe next to it. Suspicious of a possible lie from her daughter, Manfred, this last October 26th, one week before the murder, was in Daniel´s house, looking for Suzane, but he didn´t find her there. The father was right. But he just couldn´t imagine that his daughter could, in addition to lie, be planning his´ and his wife´s murder. The police is strongly convinced that the crime had been planned since two months ago. Free from the parents, they would get the heritage – while Cristian would be payed with as much money as he could find in the house. Before she got arrested, Suzane even showed herself interested in selling their house to get the money. As a wild guess, the property is worth R$1 million (next to 300 thousand US dollars).

In the night of the crime, Suzane left her house at about 9:30pm and went to Daniel´s. An hour later, the boy left alone and went to the Richthofen´s house to get his girlfriend´s brother, Andreas, who left unnoticed from his parents. The kid was very close to his sister and the borther-in-law. He owned a toy-motorcycle made by Daniel, who informally worked as a motorcycle mechanic. Andreas was left at the cybercoffee they all used to go to, and the couple went to get Cristian, who was waiting some blocks ahead. On board of Suzane´s car, the trio went for their plan´s execution.

The police was shocked with the “gang´s” cold blood – especially Suzane´s. After the murder, they planted evidences of a false rob – followed by murder. In the library, Suzane messed the papers and payment bills. To follow, she went to the secret place where the family kept US$ 5 thousand, R$ 8 thousand (around US$ 3 thousand) and jewerly. (The money was kept with them, but they initially pretended it was stolen). In the couple´s bedroom, they took care of getting Manfred´s gun (38 caliber), hidden on the bathroom´s drawer false-bottom, and put it next to his arm, on the floor. Showing they had time and stomach to plan each detail, they wore surgery gloves stolen from her mother, to not leave fingerprints. To avoid letting hair fall to the floor, Daniel and Cristian wore stockings.

After the murder, Cristian was left next to the apartment where he lives, with his grandmother, and the couple went on to prepare their alibi. They went to Motel Colonial, in Săo Paulo, and chose the best room. They payed R$380 (around US$ 200) for the room and a snack. They had time to smoke a hemp cigarette and use the pool. They left the place at 2:56 am and went to pick Andreas up. After some ride around the city, Suzane left her boyfriend at home and went with Andreas´ to their´s.

Just a while after that, as they set, the second chapter of the farse began. At 4:09 am, Daniel called the police. He said he was in front of his girlfriend´s house, that he was suspicious of a robbery in the place, and asked for their presence. When the police arrived, they all entered the couple´s room and found the couple dead on the bed. The crime scene was set as to the police started to suspect of the participation of people very close to the couple. The faces covered usually lead into the murderers being close people. It was also strange to them how the house secutiry alarm didn´t work. If it had been a rob, they should have found signs of a break-in. “We saw many strange things in the crime scene. It led us into believing it was not a robbery from the start”, says police chef Daniel Cohen, one of the first police officers to get in the house. Among other things, the way the papers were spread over the library made them believe they were put there on purpose.

The suspicion over Richthofen´s daughter got a lot bigger two days after the crime. Investigators from the DHPP showed up for a check in the house and surprised Suzane, Daniel, Andreas and a couple of friends, happily together in the house. Just a little time after crying rivers in the Richthofens´ funeral, everybody was singing and listening to music at the pool. The day after that, a Sunday, the couple went to the family´s ranch, outside the town, where they celebrated Suzane´s 19 year-old birthday. The girl´s classmates said they were also intrigued with her behavior. Even as they was dismissed from the classes, Suzane went to all of them. She even presented a work on Thursday – just hours before she confessed the crime. “She was far too calm. We were so concerned about the outlaw on the corner that we could never imagined we had a murderer on the next chair”, says Ana Carolina Caires, studying in the same University. Friends came close to Suzane, trying to confort her, but she would always answer in a skeptical way. She only showed emotion in the funeral, followed by the press. “She played the orphan role just in that very moment”, says the police chief Armando Oliveira, from DHPP.

The police invaded phone lines, mounted guard to watch for the suspects, but had their work eased with an action from Cristian. Just ten hours after the crime, he bought a 11000cc Suzuki motorcycle, worth US$ 3.6 thousand, payed with 36 US$100 paper notes. He was so sure he would never be cought that he didn´t care about hidding it. Some days after the crime, a team of investigators walked past Daniel´s house and saw the motorcycle. Suspicious, they found that it was recently bought by Cristian – one of these lost guys that, among other things, was even an insider for the police. According to the man who sold the machine, Cristian asked to not have it on his name, since he had a “dirty name” around.

On Thursday, the police went to catch Cristian at his house, saying they needed his help to identify a suspect. The man went to the police station and didn´t leave after that. He spent around six hours giving confusing and contradicting statements to the police officer´s questions. He made up three versions for the motorcycle payment, untill he finally admitted the money was his. Around this time, his father, Astrogildo Cravinhos de Paula e Silva, left the room, feeling like his son was already caught. In another room, Daniel and Suzane confessed their crime after Cristian did.

It was from Daniel´s hands that the murder weapons were made. The boy got an iron bar and filled it with wood. That way, the strykes would be fatal. The Cravinhos brothers were famous for their deliquency in the slum they lived with their parents since they were kids. It´s made of ten identical houses in a small dead-end street, where everybody knows everybody since a long time. From some years ago on, Daniel and Cristian played the drums, sang loud, shouted bad-words and smoke hemp often, according to the neighbors. The house next to them, separated in the back yard by a small wall, is on sale. The owner, 86 years old, has heart problems and convinced her husband to get out of there, as she couldn´t get used to Daniel´s and Cristian´s behaviors, who, according to the neighbors again, were never controlled by their parents. The people living around also complain about the usual presence of drug dealers from one of the close slums to the house number 39, but confess they were threatned to be quiet. One of them tell a story that speaks for itself. Cristian used to always take his dog to do necessities in front of one of the house´s door. On a given day, the owner decided to react. He took a shovel and transported the dirt to the 39 door. Cristian answered in an even dirtier way: spread the shit all over the offended neighbor´s car.

Suzane, Daniel and Cristian had their temporary arrestment declared. They will be indiciated for qualified homicide and robbery. They can get up to 60 years of jail. As she is under 21, Suzane can have her penalty reduced even to ten years. The police concluded that Suzane´s brother, Andreas, had nothing to do with the crime. Despite the cruelty of the Cravinho brothers, what shocks people most is the participation of the daughter. To the public prosecutor Eliana Passareli, who teaches in Suzane´s university, the girl´s behavior is typical of wicked murderers. “In law, they are known for the pleasure with the crime execution, and for never regreting what they do”. Suzane took inside the jail all her misteries of her horror, which we can recognize, describe, but never explain.

(With the help of Alexandre Mansur, Bernardino Furtado, Catia Luz and Edna Dantas).

- IN THE POLICE STATION
Cristian, Daniel and Suzane confessed the murder of the engineer Manfred Albert von Richthofen and his wife, Marisia, after around 12 hours of interrogatory.

- HOW THEY EXECUTED THE CRIME: Suzane, her boyfriend and his brother planned the murder. After it was done, they tried to simulate a robbery, to fool the police.

11:50 pm – After leaving Andreas in a cyber-coffee, Daniel and Suzane pick up Cristian in the surroundings. They follow to her parent´s mansion.
12:15 am – Daniel and Cristian get in the room where the couple sleep. They spank them with iron bars. Suzane is in the house, waiting.
12:30 am – The killers put the gun next to the bed, near Manfred´s arm, and a wet towel over his face. They put a black plastic bag over the woman´s face.
12:45 am – Suzane simulates an attempt of robbery to the house. In the library, she spreads papers all over the floor. In the police testimony, she says jewels and money from the family were stolen.
1:00 am – Suzane and Daniel leave Cristian next to his house, and go to a motel. They then throw away a plastic bag with the iron bars, surgery gloves, stockings and blouses.
4:09 am – Suzane and Andreas go back home. Right after, Daniel arrives. Pretending to be surprised, Daniel and Suzane call the police, who find the bodies.

- GREED
Three days after the crime, Daniel and Suzane were seen in the pool. The police got to them after they found out about the motorcycle bought by Cristian with the stolen dollars. Part of the money was hidden in a cmpact sound machine.

- COLDNESS
Next to Andreas, Suzane cried in the funeral. But, in the testimonies to the police, showed skeptiness to the parent´s death. The boyfriend, Daniel, had a sad face in the cemetery. But he left the police station, after one of the interrogatories, smiling with his father, Astrogildo Cravinhos.

During the match, Juanqui hit the ball to the stand and a girl threw it back to him. Juanqui shouted thank you in Chinese and the girl was so excited that she forgot she speak Spanish. She was mad at herself that she did not replied in Spanish 'You're welcome'.

Which one is supposed to be her boyfriend? Because I'd say, right off hand, that he was not worth it.

She was a law student as well? Wow. Unfortunately, the article you posted doesn't really lean so much on the psychological profile as the facts of the case, so I'm having a hard time "pinpointing" the category she's supposed to fit in. I guess its kinda like the Menendez Brothers in the early 90s, though they killed their parents for their inheritences.

BTW, if you do come across articles that attempt to describe her personality or the ulterior motives behind her actions, please send them along :)

COME ON, KIMMY!!! :bounce::bounce:

Serena Williams, Clijsters meet at WTA Championships

November 11, 2002

LOS ANGELES (Ticker) - Serena Williams will try to close her season in style on Monday night at the WTA Championships.

Williams, the top seed, can become the first woman to earn more than $4 million in a season and the first to claim back-to-back season-ending championships since Steffi Graf in 1995-96 when she opposes Kim Clijsters of Belgium.

After sister Venus retired with a strained left calf muscle to spoil a chance of another all-Williams final, Serena rallied to defeat fellow American Jennifer Capriati, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, in Sunday's semifinals.

Serena Williams extended her overall winning streak to 18 matches since a quarterfinal setback to Chanda Rubin at Los Angeles in August.

Clijsters, the fifth seed, led 5-0 when Venus Williams called for a trainer and said she was done. It was the fourth time in five years Venus Williams has pulled out of the event that determines the final tour rankings.

Clijsters is 0-5 lifetime against Serena Williams, but has stretched her to three sets three times.

"I played Serena two weeks after the U.S. Open (in Japan) and I lost in three sets, so I have to play my best tennis if I want to be capable of beating her," she said. "You're never going to get any easy matches anymore."

The winner takes home $765,000.

"Hopefully I will be able to play a little bit better," Serena Williams said. "If I don't play better, I might not win (Monday). If I do play better, there is a good chance I will win. The way I have been playing, I'm happy to be in the finals."

The tournament has been plagued by poor attendance and had an announced crowd of just 8,164 on Sunday.

This is the second time in as many years Clijsters played an injured opponent in the semifinals of this event. Two points from victory last year, she lost to Lindsay Davenport, who suffered a right knee injury that caused her to default the final against Serena.

"Maybe it's because of me," Clijsters said. "Every time somebody plays me. ... Lindsay hurt her knee and then she pulled out. I think for the crowd it's hard. They're really looking forward to seeing some tennis."

Okay, the one in the middle isn't as gross looking as the one on the end. And yeah, the girl isn't looking too hot either, especially when she was faking tears

And don't worry about the article, it was a good grounds to start from :) Unfortunately, it's hard to pull a profile from an article that's mostly about the facts of the crime. I'm sure if there are any psychological profilers in Brasil that they're having a field day :D

Here is another horror story happened in Chandler, AZ, one of the cities in Metro Phoenix.

About 1 month ago, policeman Lovalace was almost home after the end of his shift and received a call that a woman was suspected using a false precription in a drive-by pharmacy. Since he was the one nearest to the scene and no other police nearby, he took the call since it was just a few block from his home. At the end, the woman was shot dead in her Camero with her 14 months old son in the back seat. There was an outroared in the cities especially there is a baby in the car and also the woman's hubby was being pushed around by police when he tried to find out what happen to his wife. It ended up he was confronted by a news reporter in his front yard asking him about his wife's death and THAT'S THE TIME HE KNEW HER WIFE IS DEAD.

Last Tuesday, he was charged with 2nd degree murdered. In the investigation, he said the woman try to run him down with her car and he felt his life was in danger. He knew there was a baby at the back seat and that's why he hit the body of the woman in order to stop her. But there are more than one eye witnesses put him behind the car instead of in front of the car. Also, the autosy report showed the bullet entered the woman's body through the back of her left arm.

This policeman already involved in a high speed chase about a year ago that cause an innocent young man lost his life when the car being chased run a stop sign and boardsided his car. The civil lawsuit is still outstanding.

During the investigation, the policeman's minister came out and said what a good and caring guy he is. He is a family man, love his family, good policeman, etc....

I do believe this guy loves his family, his job and is well liked by his neighbor. It's just so hard to understand than that how he can shot dead a woman with her son in the back seat just because of fake prescription.

Also, I hate it when the police association still try to say the policeman just try to do his job and police always need to make a split second decision. For me, even my life is in danger, there is no way I will shoot with the possibility that I may harm a child.

I am posting in so many threads today that I forget where I wrote about this.

There is not a lot of coverage for Juanqai as compared to AA, Hewitt and Marat since these guys are known more in Asia. Of the 3 Spanish, the ppl there actually more interested in the more mature guys like Moya and Costa. There are many stories about Moya but not that many about Juanqai other than those official ones you can find in TMC Shanghai site. The paper there need to explain to the readers about Juanqai's nick names 'Kings' and 'mosquito'. That tells you how much they know about Juanqai. Rogi is more or less the same. But at least Rogi and Juanqai have more coverage that Novak and Johanson.

Vera

Well, that's expected. I do know that Juanqui wasn't well known in China. My friend said her friends only remembered his name bcos of the chocolate, Ferrero Rocher:) But it's quite a good thing to be associated with a high quality chocolate, IMO:D

And look at my TV coverage tomorrow. Sportsnet only shows taped WTA final tomorrow at 1:30 pm to 2:30pm and TSN will show a taped TMC match at 1:45pm to 3pm:rolleyes: So, not only that I'll get two taped matches at a very shorten version to be shown at the same time on different chanels:rolleyes: Geez:fiery: And my stupid VCR can't tape one chanel while I'm watching the other:mad:

Well, I don't like the Houston thing. Just bcos, this time of the year, there's too much sports fighting for air time, hockey in particular in Canada, then there's NFL, CFL, NBA...And unlike ESPN, TSN's priority for tennis is very low. So I thought a time difference would allow them to show matches at odd time, hence the possibility for us to watch a match is better. But hell, like anything matters, they just won't show a live match even though they have to rerun the sports news for 6 hours in the morning

The stupid thing about taping is because I have digital cable, I need a converter for the TV and the converter cannot be programed. When I set up my VCR, the input channel must be 2, i.e. the VCR will always tape the last channel set in the converter. It is a nightmare try to remember to set the converter to the right channel before the set up recording start.

OMG, too funny:D. I wonder if they dare to try those thing in China. I once watched a TV show, some traveling show, this European guy (with a really brave heart and enduring stomach) ate a live squid in a Korean restaurant in Korea. It's a horrifying scene and I'm traumatized by the image of a live squid with all its legs grabbing the man's face. I wonder how much they paid him to do that. I can't stand those things.

Hey Leo. When's that Juanqui match on ESPN tomorrow again? I don't know why I didn't think of that, but good that I just did, that I'm gonna ask my sister to tape for me, she has ESPN. Bcos I cannot be satisfied with a shorten taped match that I'll be watching, and I'm not even sure if they are showing Juanqui or Hewitt's.

Also, according to Tennis magazine, Davis Cup will be on TV, but I see no listings for it :( Hmm . . . because I will be able to see it if it's on, as that is the tail-end of my break.

btw, i don't have school on Wednesday b/c of parent-teacher conferences at my school. i guess that's why i didn't have off today although it was Veteran's Day. that means i can post here ALL DAY on Wed. :D

and Vera, i think they only show that match for 2 hours, so it may be slightly cut if it is too long.

::crosses fingers for DC tie:: Me, too.

Depending on how long the match is, it might run over a little, ESPN is good about that sometimes :)

Make it good, boys!! :bounce:
