Don't know when they make the draw - if its Friday afternoon or evening Melbourne time - their web site doesn't say.

Nico will do well at the AO if the Nico from the JCF match shows up. As far as the draw goes, the worst thing that could happen, IMO, is that he would have to play one of his buddies.

Find that fire again Nico!!! :fiery:

...Just have a laugh and shrug it off. :)

Djokovic is one of those players with big serve and forehand, very similar to Gonzo, so Massu should be able to play with him no prob, specialy considering Massu returns serve much better than Feña.

Also as someone else mentioned Djokovic is not that regular, he tends to risk to much like old-style Gonzo. This gives a good defender like Massu a chance to break. All in all, this is by no means an impossible game for Nico, could've been worse...Federer, Nadal, Gonzo, Davidenko...

Nico can win, but he will have to be at his best, even if he is two sets down, he has to keep pushing, but Nico doesn't need us to tell him these things. I know he will give all he's got.

That's not fair what you're saying!
Djokovic has to be healthy as Nico has too.
You can't say you want he to be sick, to have a real confrontation, to the beauty of the game, to see Nico proud of a deserved victory, you can't say that.
Even Nico, who is a fair play player can't wish that! Even if you say that just for joking!
Look at that! We have to stop complaining about the poor Nico who has a bad draw, a bad luck and so on! Do you think, at the beginning of the year, imagine the scene,do you see Nico saying : "Oh Damn it, what a bad luck, Djokovic in the first round!"
No, he better says : "C'mon, I'm sure I will try my best and make my possible to beat him, that's it!" :)

Nico is great player and he has his chance to beat the best players!

Look at him against Ferrero, he wasn't the favourite, but he beated him, by playing a great match, by breaking J.C. serve at the beginning of each set, because mentally he known that he could win and he kept that frame of mind during the entire match.:bounce:

And bad luck as luck turns too!:haha:

It's not a moral lesson, but as everyone knows, it's pointless to complain, I say that for me too, and It would be good to me to apply that sentence to my life a little more often too!:haha:

I hope you don't hate me too much now!:awww:

VAMOS NICO!!!

And I'm always the mean one here so again I'm not surprised and I've been always be like that :p

Oh you can say what you like senorita Kid! Our Chat Thread leader. :worship:

Seriously, Djokovic doesn't like the heat.

If I were Nico (like he needs my advice :haha:), I would run his a*s all over the court until he drops.

And I don't feel bad saying that because that's about conditioning and strategy. I'm not hoping for him to get injured or anything like that.

No mercy! :fiery:

And Nico does have to be ready for Djokovic's tricks - I remember what he did against Puke Boy.

Nico has to do the same as he did with JC ... he was driving him crazy making him running all over the court, Nico can stay still and make the other one run ... He'd end up fainting and puking probably

Djokovic was a machine! If anyone has any chance of taking Federer out its Djokovic. I hope he does all other players a favour and takes Fed-Ex out of this one.

As for Massu, he was never the favourite but I did expect more of a fight, at least a 6-4 6-3 6-4! He was clearly below his level...

Hope Gonzo and Capdeville do better...

And as if Nico's scorline wasnt' bad enough news to wake up to, I see the Fish has defeated Ljubicic of all players. I suppose that will be the upset of the day

I found this:

What I understood is that Nico was in a bad day, he didn't feel well, he didn't play and this is the worst match of his career.
But wait for someone who speaks spanish for the whole translation

your translation was correct Alx ;) ... damn! I knew that he could lose but not like this, something really happened out there, and something is happening in the Aus Open 'cause all the latinos are going down as flies :bigcry:

I really hope that Nico will feel better very soon .. I was really worried when everyone was saying that he doesn't look good but at least it seems that is not an injury :awww:

and I agree with you Sparko, I couldn't believe when I saw that Fish beated Ivan

Stupid Djokovic I'm sure that if he face Federer he's going to lose for the same sb that he beated Nico :ras:

Nico

NicoFan don't be so mad  ... I understand but we've to understand sometimes too, although I still don't quite understand what happened in Melbourne

I really don't understand what happened with Nico, Nole was obviously the favorite to win that match, but that score!!!!!!!! I was really upset with Nico, there was no fight, no emotion, no play, no motivation.... :o

I hope he recovered all this in Chile, as always, Davis Cup is coming and we need an in-form claycourt Nico, so it's better to turn the page NOW!!!

The truth is that Nico Massu wasn't the guy who was on court some hours ago, I watched the match and He simply didn't have answers to Djokovic'c shots.
It was a tough loss, but I think He had something bothering him  I haven't seen him like that lately. In Auckland I saw another Nico in 1st round against Ferrero so I suppose He has something.
Anyway, All my support in this moment for everyone :) and for Nico too, We are all pretty hurt.

It happened the same last year in Paris, I was unable to recognize our Nico, he didn't fight as he might fight, he looked dejected, with not a lot of motivation too, but then we learnt he was in pain whith is foot and that he was sick.
I remember watching him, and I was saying to myself, damn it, there's something wrong, he was pale and seemed to be already beaten a few points after the beginning of the match. I guess it was Lovely who was here too. Do you remember that? The Score wasn't as horrible as today, but I can remember Nico in a bad day! Poor 'lil Nico!:crying2:

That the end of Nico's run at the AO, but that's it!
So now, back on clay:bounce: with his fabulous shots!
:rocker2: KICK ASS ON CLAY, NICO:rocker2:

yes of course that I remember that and the worst thing is that we're all here wondering what the hell happens to him and we found out hours later that he's sick or something happened to him ... this is when I hate that nobody update us inmediately about what is happening during a match :p

you're right, thank God we're back to clay now and I definetely hope that he'll kick some butt .. ok a lot of butts here :rocker2:
