2007 Preview - by Nathaliia:

Another poor challenger with amazing line-up. I don't think Kevin Kim defends the title, It's more about Michael Russell / Amer Delic / maybe Robert Kendrick thing. I expect Guillermo Garcia Lopez to be upset and to not reach the semis. The tournament should be dominated by Americans, however I am curious what about Benni Dorsch. Last year Becker made a run here and it wouldn't surprise me if Dorsch did the same this year. Greul is a candidate for 1st round exit, traveller Kristian Pless is not - he had a good last season in American challengers, but might be jet lagged from coming from Europe during this event.

Kim is not playing very well last days. After great games in Chennai, now he has some problems. 3 big losses (1 in Waikoloa, 2 in Delray Beach).
He should win players like Echagaray or Levine.

Warburg is a classical hard player, he has potencial....he also lost in Waikoloa in first round....I think he'll be very motivated for today's game, and he can suprise Kevin......

I think that Kevin will win this match, but not so easy as we expect.

Sarstrand says he was lucky to win  7-6 6-2 doesn't seem like luck.

Ram, Dorsch, Fleishman & Kendrick would be my picks.

I agree except I believe Gruel will beat Fleishman. Also, Warburg is a fighter and is playing well...if Kendrick slips into his bad attitude funk (which he can do), don't be surprised to see Warburg knock him off.

 How did that happen??

Widom played well plus Delic didn't seem to be himself. Delic, who is 6'5" and fit, never seemed to play his attacking game. I can count on 1 hand the number of times I saw him come to the net. I don't know what happened to his serve and volley game or his attacking style...perhaps the late match the night before and/or his injured hip (a trainer worked on him twice) had had something to do with it.

It is too bad, Delic is a huge fan favorite in Dallas.

Widom will have his hands full with Dorsch. They play a similar style but Benny seems to do everything better...

Yes. He went to Baylor Uni in Texas and played NCAA :)

Yes, I know Kendrick's slips  I witnessed one of them. I had never seen Warburg before this week and I am very impressed from the videos, and also his attitude is great. I very much look forward to seeing more of this guy.

Greul and Fleishman, I agree, is a close call. I also hope Sarstrand beats Ram.
