2007 Preview - by Nathaliia:

It's going to be short, blame my lack of time. At first, as the resident of Wrocław, I tried to count the Czechs warming up before their main event of season (which is Wrocław challenger of course, week 6.). Dlouhy is between the favourites of the tournament, Vik is chasing the lost form, which is running away faster than he can follow. Vanek will never raise higher than being an average pancake eater, Ulihrach still hasn't finished his career and using the protect ranking (I am curious about what he can show) and Zib... Hmm, Zib is still a retard controversial tennis player. Fans in Heilbronn will have the pleasure to watch beautiful tennis of Nicolas Mahut. Last year around these days he was presenting wonderful form, maybe to repeat this year as well. Surely the home players will be trying to win. Bjorn Phau has a quick game, but I can point too many participants able to easily outtake him. Probably Rainer Schuettler and Alex Waske are going to show the local crowd they haven't retired yet. Simon Greul objectively speaking looks the strongest of them anyway. I wonder about the performances of Bogdanović or Bozoljac. Both on good runs can make it high. Traditionally we can't cross out challenger/ATP players like Llodra and Pless - it is likely they both achieve high rounds. Of course nicest left for the end, Willy Cańas visiting European indoors courts and if I am to be serious, I see him in a semi at least. Also I'm looking forward to a good performance of Ernests Gulbis.

well, we beat the European Champions the first match after they won that title, we beat Russia, draw with Ireland and Switzerland, draw with Ukraine etc

modest results but very good for a team that was closing the group with 2-3 points 10 years ago

Albania play as a team rather tham individuals with big wallets and no commitment like England and Croatia!
