This is the 1st event of 2007 Fab will take part. I'm not expecting any wonderful performance, just a peaceful return to competition, on his way to the AO. Good luck Fab. :)

tomorrow he will face björn phau from germany ( i DONT LIKE PHAU )...hmm it would be a taff match but i think santoro is the better player on hardcourt and he will beat him ;)

I hope that he is okey.

01-03-2007, 08:39 PM
Being that close to the AO where he's got QF points to defend, he might choose to withdraw......which would be the best option, in my opinion. :awww:

01-04-2007, 03:07 PM
Finally he has played and ... won :D
def Phau 6-4 6-2
Next opponent is Malisse (QF)

01-04-2007, 04:05 PM
Good job. Hope he won't regret it. Malisse isn't an easy opponent. Allez Fab!! :)

01-04-2007, 04:29 PM
mhhh i think he CAN beat malisse...but its not easy...we will see....COME ONNNNNNNNN FABRICE

01-04-2007, 05:33 PM
Congrats to Fab :) If he is having back problems, at least it was an easy win over Phau :D Allez Fab :dance:

01-05-2007, 01:58 PM
Well the X-Man defeated Santoro. I wonder by the score if Fab's back wasn't giving him trouble. The score was 6-4, 4-6, and 6-0 :sad: Now I hope Fab gives that back a rest :)

01-05-2007, 05:42 PM
Sorry I couldn't come sooner. Actually, I have followed the beginning of the match on the livescores. And I have to say that I'm more than surprised with the score.

Fab had a double break against him in the 1st set, and he managed to break back once but couldn't stop Malisse from taking the set. He lost his serve straight at the beginning of the 2nd set. I had to leave the computer when Malisse was leading 6-4 2-0. No need to tell you that I was thinking that Fab was in a very bad position. So now that I discover he won that 2nd set, I can only think he fought til the end. The 6-0 might seem frightening, but I guess that it was the price to pay for fighting back the way he did, being injured. Well done Fab. :)
