...Did you guys/gals realise that they were playing best of 5-sets regularly at the WTA Championship finals from 1984->1998:eek: :p

*So women are capable of playing best of 5-sets...infact three times the final went to a 5th set decider with Graf & Seles having the distinction of winning those:worship:

*Then if women seem more than capable of playing 5-sets wouldn`t it be wise to make the Slam finals a best of 5-set deal for the women as well:confused:

*Considering that, & the fact that Mr.Disney wants to reduce the No. of tourney`s where they play best of 5 for the men, don`t you think that would take some of the excitement out of the game:confused:
Surely if they spaced the TMS tourneys out properly & gave players sufficient time to recover it would be fine to continue using the best of 5 set matches for TMS/TMC finals;)

BTW~ all the memorable matches for me have been 5-setters, but maybe I`m just some kind of 5-set freakin obsessed crazy messed up dude:eek: :sad: :devil: :angel:

As for Mr Disney nearly everything he says isn't thought through thoroughly and getting rid of 5 set finals in the TMS events is a joke, but that is the soft option considering he doesn't have the testicular fortitude to be serious about fixing the schedule.

The point is what exactly? Mr Disney is a clown who is just trying to reform the sake of reform and not taking everything into account? The women should play 5 set finals at Slams, if they did that, then they would do that to the guys as well.

Yes, the Shanghai will be the best of 5.

The US Open will be the one most likely to push for the Slams to be best of 3 sets. The difference is that the ITF run the Slams and they haven't made any noises about this, though you never know.
