David does not need a shirt that gives the impression of breasts to go with that stomach he already has!!!

:haha::haha:
I was thinking the same thing.
I'm not sure if it's the shirt though.
Looking at his HUGE waist line, I get the impression that David has to wear a shirt not because he has to, but because he has to somehow cover up his fat belly.

Light blue should be forbidden to overweight people.

Pretty sad when tv commentators won't hesitate to say that David has had some real bad "fitness issues" throughout the year.

Exactly!!! I saw the belly too inside the shirt, I cannot believe it is showing like that, no wonder he ran out of breath by the start of 2nd set
And yes, that shirt looks like a bra.....

Come on people! You are exaggerating. He looked OK to me. In fact I think if he had had a doughnut after the 1st set, he would have played much better :p

That shirt is GARISH - the colours are really wrong for him and what's with that STUPID collar effect that starts halfway around his neck?

You really think so? I think light blue looks great on blonde people.

There's a couple of different shades of blue on there with different patterns and that foul collar...I just don't think it works on him.

Generally I agree with you but in this instance...

Possibly it's just the cut of the shirt and the odd design but I thought it was a Fiesta del Failure.

Got to agree with CooCooCachoo here...

Although Dave isn't the thinnest, he is most definitely not 'fat', merely 'fatter' (for the want of a better word Lol) then most pros you see at the top level. Compare him to a 'fat' person you see in the street and he would seem slim. But yes, he does need to become fitter.

I honestly don't know what you guys are talking about. I checked out some pics on gettys and he doesnt look any 'fatter' than usual with that shirt.

He's not fat. He has overweight on his middle body? Yes. But legs and shoulders are muscle.
You just like to make jokes. Maybe a mirror would be good for people here

The same was said about Vilas, Agassi, Becker, etc...
I'm more used to see pictures of him, or some images of Nalby on TV because my country. He's not fatter than the past year. He's not in his better shape due to his chronical problem with the abdominal muscles. But with this weight, he won against Federer or barely lose there (like in Rome for example and don't forget the Roger's kicking butt until he got injured in RG), Ljubicic, Hewitt, Davydenko, Safin, Agassi, Ancic, etc not forgetting the performances in every surface of the DC.

Could he lost some weight? yeah, but he wasn't buring out of his shirt! So, letting aside his injury, wich is still afecting him and his trainning, more players should be *that* fat.

Well if he isn't fat physically, his ego is definitely fat...so Davheed is fat!

...and the comment on the poster's mum's boobs being smaller than Nalbandian's...that is so very wrong! :o

One question. I don't remember the rules, and obviously it's not the same than soccer, voley, basket , etc where is mandatory, but if one player has an outfit that looks exactly like the ballboys one, shouldn't he change it?

As I said the same was said about Vilas, Agassi, Bercker and so many others. He has just belly. I saw him in person in Madrid and he looks better now.

Boobs? Honey, that's muscle. the same with the arms and shoulder. He caught me when his brother hitted me by accident at the hotel (my group and his group were running because we were late) and he saved me from a god hit against the floor. I touched him, with moderation of course :) , there's nothing fluffly there...

Well he wasn't wearing light blue sneakers and a cap, was he? :)

By the way, the ballkids were wearing red and white today.

Unlike most tennis players, he's built stocky and thick. He will never look trim. He is a little out of shape, but hardly fat.

Nalbandian is the most out of shape player I have ever seen play elite tennis in the men's game (Monica Seles is comparable, but at least she had her reasons). I think that his fitness level is embarrassing and does nothing to combat the negative image that he or Argentine players (or even Argentine men in general) have.

First of all I don't think he can be called a fat man. He doesn't have the body of other players with a lot muscles, like Nadal. In general, it doesn't affect his fitness on court, I mean, he can perfectly run and is able to stay on court for more than 3 hours playing, like what happened in USO against Safin and the French guy that I don't remember his name.
I've never heard that the argentinean men have a negative image. I really don't know what you are referring to. And about the players specifically, none of the others can be called even a bit "chubby". Cañas, Coria, Gaudio, Monaco, Zabaleta have great bodies.

Well I am not a fan of Nalbandian - and often laughlingly call him "Fat Dave" - but in honesty he really is NOT fat! He is big built yes - and fairly stocky (just as his Father was), and his Mother is also quite a heavy build, - but if you saw the guy walking past you in the street you would never look at him and think how fat he was! He does have issues with fitness and lack of training and motivation nowadays I admit, but even a few years ago when he worked a lot harder than he does now - people were still calling him fat. He's just that kind of build.

And Asmus - I would be really interested to know exactly what you mean by the "negative image" that Argentine men have. As a woman I don't see anything negative in the appearance of people like Agustin Calleri, Hernan Gumy, Gabriel Markus etc - far from it in fact - they are all very fit and handsome men :)

First, did you see him run, jum, hit with no problem for three hours? Also, he had the same weight when he won the MC, and reached GS semis... and don't forget the DC.

And as someone posted today, did you see Roddick's belly moving like jellow when his shirt went up? Talking about bad shape too.
Also Nalbandian has excuses to... are we forgetting a several chronical injury at the abdominal area, that it affects the work on that zone and technic for some hits? And that, OH casualty! since he repeated that problem at RG, he had a horrible performance, being out of the circuit for months???

Just to clarify, I'm laughing at you, rather than with you.

ps. How many fatties do you know who could beat Federer in 5 sets in over 4 hours of play?

Yes... honey, I'm a woman with 1,78 m and 53 kg... I'm really, really fat

Someone deleted the thread. I wonder why the "fat Dave is allowed" and someone who started one saying that Roddick was clearly showing Belly and overweight.... that thread is not in sight anymore. When it got several affirmative replays.
Aclaration, It wasn't me the started... Just in case

Thanks for aclaration..... I got it wrong ;)

 I would say you are below the normal limits and in the danger zone. You should probably gain weight ASAP (10kg at least)!

By the way I agree with you that David looks perfectly OK. Roddick's belly on the other hand :scared:

maybe because they were on roids

The only banned for positive doping of those were Coria and Cañas. Coria was declared innocent because he took some contaminated pills. Then, the case of Cañas is more complicated but to sum up, he wasn't aware of what he was taking.

He always wears light blue! Excuse me whilst i get into character: its a bit like you say to wife in Argentina, "the dress no-make your-ass look-fat, your-fat-ass make ass look-fat"

And the ball boys and lines men look like they are wear Argentina football shirts! Weirdddd
