An improvement. It looks cleaner and neater. The other looked too cluttered and chaotic, especially on the right hand side.

Need to put a link to the rankings back to the top though.

i have 20inch wide monitor the whole right side is white :D

They still have to design pages for people who have small monitors and lower resolutions, folks - 800x600 is still a standard, although 1024x768 is becoming much more common. Even so for people who have big screens and high resolutions it will look squashed over to the left.

Is this not just for the Tennis Masters Cup? All the links at the top are aimed at the Masters Cup website, all the usual links are gone. I'm sure this will switch back afterwards, whether they keep the new design or not.That's my guess, because when you click one of the links on the bottom, the old design is still there.

when i first saw it i thought that looks shit, then after about a second it started growing on me. it'll take some getting used to but it looks pretty good. but still, i don't see why they had to change it.

New design looks nice but it's uncomfortable in use. All the most importants links are on the bottom of the site :(
Anyway atptennis.com is weak because hasn't got the tie-breaks results before 1991. I'm still waiting for a change in this domain...

I sent them a comment telling them what I didn't like about it.. if it's only temporary for Shanghai, then that's okay. But I told them a few key things I disliked, let them know I use the site every day and sent it off :) Some intern will read it and maybe relay the message some day :p
