TMS Miami and the Australian Open?

Is the surface and speed of the TMS Miami event and the Australian Open pretty much the same?

I don't think Miami is rebound ace but from what I've seen the bounce and speed seems pretty similar and considering that Nadal came quite close to winning Miami in 05' you'd have to say he'll be a strong favourite for the upcoming Australian Open.

Miami is faster.

And Nadal has no chance to win the AO. Nadal needs to be at 100% to win the AO and nobody is at 100% in January...

Miami is too moisted. The ball becomes slower during higher humidity.

But Melbourne is too hot, higher temperature will make the surface harder and the ball faster.

If Baghdatis could make the final this year and should Nadal have no injury concerns he should at least be able to make the semis and possibly the final considering the Australian Open is slower than Miami.

It is noticable that both events strongly favoured Agassi; 4 times winner in Australia and 6 times in Miami.

Yeah, AO winner always does well @ Miami usually.

The surfaces play very similarly with the slower HC and more importantly the higher bounce. but they're not both rebound ace.

Baghdatis made the final because of the horrible crowd.

Nadal will get lost when due to very hot temperatures, they will have to close the roof...

By Agassi's results, one might think so. His two best tournaments.

In his case, the heat at both locations also worked to his advantage.

Do you know what the surface is in IW? Is it similar to Miami except the court is blue instead of green?
