The game is very easy, enjoyable and will take nothing from your free time. EACH DAY of play you MUST pick 1 winner playing an ATP main draw singles match. Of course, the player that you choose, is playing one match scheduled to be played that day (as seen on the order of play). Once you pick someone, you cannot choose them again for the rest of the tournament. So, you don't want to waste a pick on Federer or Nadal to win in early round matches.(NOTE: Shanghai is the only tournament in the Suicide Tennis calendar where you are able to choose TWOplayers TWICE, because of the Round Robin format of the tourney). If you forgot to post your choice of the day, if you are sick or unable to reach a computer, it will be treated as a wrong pick, and you will be out of the tournament. As well, your pick must be chosen before the pick's match has commenced, otherwise it will be considered a wrong pick, and thus you will again, be out of the tournament.
Only in the case of a walkover, or a withdrawal, each player is allowed to have a back-up pick, selected at the same time as their initial pick. That back-up pick will only be used in the occurence of a walkover or withdrawal, as stated above. Retirements do count as completed matches.
Your picks have to look like this:

If it is not clearly identitified, then both picks will be declared invalid.

Every day you can find the order of play posted down here. Before posting picks, check if the match with your 'todays choice' haven't started yet - late pick will be treated as a wrong pick. If you want to cancel or change your pick quote the original post and add a new message to this thread (before the match including your pick started, of course).
The last survived player is the winner. If two or more players go to the final day and succeed they all are tournament-winners. If everybody fail during the week (weeks in Grand Slams) the player/s who are participating in the last day with predictions is/are the winner/s.
So, if you wish to participate, just write the word IN in this thread before posting any picks. New players are ALWAYS welcome!

I wanna discuss something... Because of the schedule (http://www.masters-cup.com/1/results/groups.asp)of this years Shanghai TMC we can't use the traditionally used format of Suicide Tennis - it's impossible to pick 8 days one player every day from a 8-player field, even if somebody may be picked twice!
That's why I suggest to begin Suicide Tennis @ Shanghai 2007 on tuesday (sunday and monday will be skipped and we still can choose 1 player two times) - so there will be a chance to make it to the end.
If someone disagree or have something else in mind - please post here!

To be totally honest, i think robredo has more chances over davydenko
I mean.. (im the only one backing up for Blake.. hehe.. and i hope Robredo beats Davydenko.. so like 96% of contesters lose :P -sorry im being honest-)

On a really close look.. if you see the head to head..
Robredo forced a 5 set memorable RG QF last year.. Which might have gone either ways.. This year robredo cruised easily on a clay court final.. cant remember the name of the tournament.. and.. yeah.. Davydenko beat Robredo last week on carpet.. but took him 3 sets...
I mean.. there is a challenger result in 2000 won on clay by robredo cruising like 6-2.6-1..
I mean.. Robredo really complicates Davydenko's game..and the surface is not really that fast..
I dont see why everyone is so sure.. Maybe im proven wrong.. but i have a feeling robredo can beat davydenko..it's not like such a piece of cake as everyone thinks..

but i do agree with you that Tommy's game complicates Kolya's life a little... both of them like to counter-punch big hitters and defensive style of tennis, so it's frustrating for them to have to go for winners themselves and play agressive...
