Heard on TV, Johansson has withdrawn due to some illness (Laryngitis?)

ps. I know my first post like this is very weird, but I lurk here. So don't flame me ;)

Gonzalez receives a walkover into the QFs.

My commentators said it's due to laryngitis (sp?).

If certain other players got larygnitis, we'd consider it a blessing.

Wh^'s gonna stop rafa now? :(

If Rafa gets past Haas- he is going to have a very hard time with Berdych. I think Tomas would have to be the favorite in that match.

Tough luck Pim-Pim. But at least it is an illness and not an injury. I was really looking forward to the match between JJ and Gonzo- I think it could have been very entertaining. This is good for Gonzo that he didn't have to play today, however, as his shoulder was giving him problems yesterday.

How does laryngitis affect your play? Isn't it just a voice thing?

Yes, I can imagine uncle Toni dressed in a labcoat going around the locker room during the night distributing viruses. :D

I think that it can make you very tired as well and cause fever.

Great first post. I panicked when I saw he retired. I'm quite relieved, but I hope he has some strepsils!
