After reaching the Madrid final and having won Vienna last week very convincingly, can he repeat his feat of reaching the final in a very tough draw or possibly go even further. This is escpially for all of those Ljubicic fans out there that say he is so good. Express your oponions of his chances this year.

If he will lose who do you think it will be to?

Personally i think and hope that Muzza can beat him on Wednesday.

with Murray's returning game and with it being Ljubo's first game on this courts with the ball going through the air very differently to most places? I really would like to see the odds on a British victory.

Maybe that is true but Ljubo is in great form, Murray is in fairly bad form and even if he wasn't, Ljubicic is simply far better than he is on this surface.

Murray probably wont stand a chance. Ljubicic into the final.

Murray lost a couple of matches to good players, doesn't mean he is off form IMO. Ljubicic showed you can pick up form again as quickly as you dropped it after a dissapointing US Open then Asia exspereience and came back winning Vienna easily. Hopefully Murray has been saving it for Madrid, Basel and Paris. is the match likely to be on Wednesday?

Yeah, likely to be on Wednsday. Henman is no longer considered a good player, Murray should ne able to beat him and should definately be able to beat the likes of Jiri Novak. Anyway, even if he isn't out of form Ljubicic is simply far better than he is.

Murray isn't that great of a player, that's a fact. His forehand is ridiculous, I don't think he's nothing but hype.
Anyways, Ljubicic's on a roll and after defeating Gonzalez should be really hot.

It is a possibility but Ljubicic should be far too strong.

It's the only possibility before the final. Pray hard for it to happen if you don't like him... :p

Also the winner of this match will have a tough match against possible Gasguet or Djokivic. If the latter then i think the winner can win but if Gasguet i think both will struggle.

Murray served well today, I just hope he can serve like that against baldy. If he does, I genuinely think he'll win.

Adam i missed tge match. What was Murray's performance like. Was it pretty good or more a case of beating the opponent and how based on that performance would you rate his chances on Wednesday?

the best players are playing and that's when Ljubi withers. Will be interesting to see how he deals with the youngsters, he is in a group with Murray, Djokovic, Gasquet

As I said it is a possibility but only if Ljubicic gets cold feet due to it being a masters and all. Technically Murray cannot match Ljubicic on this surface. If Ljubicic doesn't play sub-par he will win.

Murray should have beaten Ljubicic in Zagreb being up a set and a break but he was a little immature and played some bad shots.

Yeah, Ljubicic is favourite but besides serve I don't think he's better than Andy apart from maybe being more powerful with his hitting.

what? why would Ivan get cold feet at masters...the one he made it to a final and almost won it....

6-4 6-3 :)

Solely talking about an indoor court here:
Ivan's forehand is better than Andy's. Ivan's backhand is better than Andy's. Ivan's volleys are as good as Andy's. Ivan's serve is MUCH better than Andy's.

All Andy has is a superior return.

Ivan's return is underrated..based on stats...he always get 1 needed breaks..and other times he wont even win a point

looking at return stats dont tell the whole story.. Nadal plays a lot of matches on clay(yes all players play on clay but not nearly as much as nadal, since he goes deep in all of the,)...so his return stats will be good...i would like to see those stats, if the clay matches were taken out.

Even if Murray returns the serve, he'll probably be out-rallied by Ljubicic.

this surface, green set,is so damn fast, murray can't return Ivan serves....And if he returns Ivan will have total control in point....That's it for serve....1 good return game in each set and that's it!Get over it Britishers!!! MURRAY IS CRAP!

I bet he has a better masters & grand slam record than ivan by the time he hangs up his raquet though - Not that there is much to beat  ;)

Ljubu should win but in 18 months time murray will kick his butt regularly :wavey:

i think he might get to the semis, but i doubt the finals, i think Roddick would beat him there, and Nadal even. i think it might be a Federer/Roddick final, and if that happens i would go out a limb and say Federer will win.

Why do think Ivan has a tough draw??
This is a masters and most of the guys that are here know how
to play tennis.
Murray, Nieminen, Gonzo and Donkey are all players that he
should beat on this surface.
He is not on Feds side of the draw and that is good for him:)
