Hey all,
I'm trying to find Juan Carlos's schedule for 2004 but I can't seem to find it anywhere. I checked what I thought was his official site but I could only find a 2002 schedule :(

Thanks :)

31 tournaments!??!!? are you sure?? 'cause that sounds almost impossible! last year he only played 24 events (including DC but no exhibitions)... oh well, i hope he doesn't tire himself out!!!

the schedule from his official site can be wrong... because he's not on the list for Dubai (Scottsdale is on the same week too!!!) and he should be playing in Marseille next week....

Thanx for the list!
Yup, he's playing in Marseille next week. Read about it somewhere.

He's still playing Marseille? That's mad he looked so tired today

Juan Carlos would never play that many tournaments.

I think it's a good idea to play Marseille, tired or not... because he has the Dubai week off to go to the US and prepare for Indian Wells and Miami. With Roddick playing every small event he can while avoiding top players, Juan Carlos needs the points.

:o That's only a provisional list methinks. And as tvkat has spotted already, Dubai and Scottsdale are in the same week...and so are Valencia and Estoril if I remembered correctly.

I'm hoping he will pull out of Marseille. There is no point in risking fatigue and possible injury for the subsequent bigger tournaments.

 So you think he won't be playing in Dubai?

Scotso

Thanx for the update Dr. Scotso. Just saw his draw in Marseille and I must say I'm not entirely optimistic. :awww:

I doubt he'd play all those tourneys and since some of them are in the same weeks... plus he'd probly pull out of some during the year cuz if he goes far in RG he probly wont play Halle the week after

Yea that's the same schedule I saw somewhere and thought it was odd, that's why I asked. guess we don't have anything more 'official' or confirmed than that though, thanks for responding though :)

He's not on the Scottsdale commitment list either, so maybe he's just taking that week off or planning to get to IW extra early or something.

Scotso, this is one of my first times to the JCF forum. Glad to know you diss Andy even here in the forum of one of your faves in a thread that has absolutely zilch to do with him.

Andy's points have a lot to do with Juan Carlos' ranking.

Ferrero could never play that many tournaments.

But he is playing the Olympics, right? He says he's definitely going but surprisingly it's not on that list. He should (and hopefully will) scrap those 4 post-Wimbledon clay court tournaments and instead take a deserved rest before the Olympics, TMS Toronto, TMS Cincy, and the US Open. Maybe he could play a small hardcourt tournament before Athens just to prepare (i.e. Indianapolis). And, if he's still feeling tired out, he could also skip Toronto and save as much energy as possible for New York.

Leo, I'm pretty sure somewhere he said he is looking forward to the olympics. Don't remember where.

Oh and Jazzy no one was blaming you lol. it's not your fault Juan Carlos doesn't put out an official schedule somewhere ;)

I read in an interview that he will play in the Olympics.... he mentioned that 8 days between that and the US Open would give him enough time to prepare...
