Grosjean's schedule

02-21-2004, 12:36 PM
I'm just wondering if anyone knows his schedule for the rest of the year? He's to return for Indian Wells, then what? And why doesn't he play Scottsdale before Indian Wells?

02-21-2004, 04:16 PM
Oh? Isn't he going to play Scottsdale? I thought he was going to ask for a wildcard! And does anyone have news about his injury? I thought he was due for a check up on the 17th. With that official site gone, we're totally cut off from news

02-21-2004, 06:51 PM
Is the official site off? I haven't checked it for a while, I mean, what's the point? I don't understand any French. But still, it's a bit weird if it's off. Why did it stop?

I'm just wondering if anyone knows his schedule for the rest of the year?
Let me see....I have a copy of his schedule from official site.:)
But it's only Feb-Jun.

23 Marseille

08 Indian Wells
22 Miami

19 Monte Carlo
26 Barcelone

08 Rome
10 Hambourg
26 Roland Garros

07 Queen's
23 Wimbledon

Well, that's all for I know.:aplot:

:p Thanks a lot, Taremi! It's nice to know a little more about his where abouts for the next months. May's going to be rather busy, I see, and I'm very optimistic about his grass season. Good to know he will return to Queen's, it was such a great tournament last year. This time, though, I would like him to win the final! He really needs to achieve another title, he didn't win anything last year, despite reaching two finals! For god's sake, if Henman can bring home silverware, why can't Grosjean???

02-22-2004, 08:56 AM
Dammit! Isn't he coming to 's-Hertogenbosch this year? Had hoped for that just in case Wimbledon will be too expensive for me :(

02-22-2004, 09:57 AM
You're welcome, Ulla! ;) Yeah, I remember that he played against Roddick at the Queen's final, last year.... (Of course, against Schuettler at Tokyo final...) Unfortunately, he wasn't able to win in both tournaments, after all. :awww: I would like him to take the both titles or either! (Especially at Tokyo, because I was staying there, as you know. :crying2: )
Anyway, I wish Seb's injury will better soon...

02-22-2004, 01:11 PM
Dammit! Isn't he coming to 's-Hertogenbosch this year? Had hoped for that just in case Wimbledon will be too expensive for me :(

 Oh, so you're complaining??? What about me in miserable Denmark, with no tournament to lure him to the country? And I'm not even thinking about Wimbledon coz I know very well I can't afford to, what with my two holidays abroad last year! At least you had the chance in 's-Hertogenbosch last no sympathy from me ;)

How can you be so cruel as to begrudge a fellow Grosjean lover a chance to see a mutual hero only some 400 km from her home????

02-22-2004, 10:59 PM
his last diary is translated on the other site

02-22-2004, 11:02 PM
why isnt he playing nething between miami and monte carlo? is that his full schedule?

02-23-2004, 12:14 PM
I don't know why....But, probably, I think that's his full schedule, because I printed out it from his official site.

02-23-2004, 01:31 PM
How can you be so cruel as to begrudge a fellow Grosjean lover a chance to see a mutual hero only some 400 km from her home????

 I was born mean and petty! And yes, I will begrudge anything involving Grosjean and other people - and not me! Remember, soon I will also lose my cable and then I won't even be able to see him on tv! So to hear about fortunate people going to see him for real is just not making my day!

02-23-2004, 02:10 PM
Oh yes forgot that. Sorry! But I promise you, if ever I see him live, I will try to remember each movement he made, so I can tell you about it.

02-24-2004, 03:49 PM
Nice one, Wilma! But I guess I ought to be grateful! So do go to London for the Wimbledon Grand Slam and stalk him...I'll be waiting eagerly for the report!

02-24-2004, 04:59 PM
I think Roland Garros is closer by for u Wilma, or not? For me it definitly issss...

02-24-2004, 05:01 PM
By the way Esther, last year his scedule was like this as well on his official (english) site, but I thought he played more, I don't know for sure, so correct me if I'm wrong..

02-24-2004, 05:15 PM
Mmm maybe Paris is closer, Lizan, but I would prefer to go to Wimbledon :)

02-24-2004, 05:40 PM
really? yeah me 2! Evrybody says RG is better coz Seb plays there and course everybody cheers for him, but I LOVVVVVEEEEEE Wimbledon. It's the only tourney where I'm really sad when it's finished!!

02-24-2004, 06:20 PM
last year his scedule was like this as well on his official (english) site, His official site(English)? I don't know....Where is it?

02-24-2004, 06:48 PM
yeah it's gone now, but back then..

I hope it comes back soon. I wanna know what's happening.

02-25-2004, 06:09 AM
Wimbledon is fine, but I prefer Roland Garros, with or without Grosjean. I like tournaments on clay.

02-25-2004, 04:35 PM
Roland Garros, Wimbledon, AO are OK, but I don't prefer USO... 'cause Seb is always defeated immediately there. :(

02-25-2004, 05:01 PM
I like tournaments on clay.
They all get so dirty on clay!

02-25-2004, 05:10 PM
And they are so slippery!

02-25-2004, 05:40 PM
No I like clay 2, I love playing on it myself.. I like it when they, how do u say that in english, slide or something.. Okay wanna know what your top 4 of the GS's.. From best to worst. For me:
1) Wimbledon (10)
2) Roland Garros (8)
3) Australian Open (7,5)
4) US Open (5,5)

02-25-2004, 07:28 PM
I guess I'd take the same order as you, Lizan. That has also got a lot to do with the fact that with Wimbledon and RG I can watch matches without having to get up early or stay up late :)

02-26-2004, 05:47 AM
BTW, Seb's official site is fixed now!!! :woohoo:

02-26-2004, 07:22 AM
thanks, Taremi! Had expected some major changes to that site (e.g. English version), but nothing...

02-26-2004, 07:42 AM
about time they fixed it!

02-26-2004, 07:56 AM
They all get so dirty on clay!

:p Exactly! It's great fun!
My order of GS:
1) Roland Garros (loved it ever since Wilander and Henri Leconte used to make the tournament very entertaining indeed)
3)Aussie Open
4)US Open (same complaint as Taremi: Grosjean never makes the grade in this stupid GS!)

02-26-2004, 08:58 PM
1) Roland Garros (becoz it's in France and seb and JC usually make good results there ;-)
2) Wimbledon
3) US Open (even if seb often loses early in this slam, I keep thinking that's the slam he's got more chances to win ! or maybe Wimbledon)
4) AO

02-26-2004, 09:08 PM
It's hard to make a ranking, it depends if I think to my favorites or my absolute idol...(sampras)

(if I think to Pete)
1/ us open
2/ wimby
3/ A.o
4/ RG (Pete never won, has so many bad memories, and all these spanish layers who play well here..beurk !)

But my true ranking is:
1/ RG, because, because, because !
2/ AO
3/ Us open
4/ Wimbledon

02-27-2004, 10:18 AM
1) AO
2) Roland Garros
3) Wimby
10000) USO

02-27-2004, 11:13 AM
10000) USO

lol esther !!!

02-27-2004, 01:04 PM
1) Wimby
2) AO & RG

?) USO

02-27-2004, 01:34 PM
Why don't you like USO ?

02-27-2004, 03:01 PM
well I've never written a message here but I'm a great fan of seb !! Since the beginning of his career. I come from France so please sorry for my english !! I saw that here are a lot of seb's fans!!!

02-27-2004, 03:32 PM

02-27-2004, 10:38 PM

02-27-2004, 10:47 PM

02-28-2004, 06:49 AM
Welcome to the forum grosjeanlol :)

There are a great many players who really love playing US Open (among which is Grosjean, I think). Weird!

02-28-2004, 09:19 AM

Peta Pan
02-29-2004, 08:57 AM
1. Australian Open (obviously because I can attend every year)
2. Wimbledon (I like the grass tournaments and the time zone difference isn't so bad that I can't watch any of it)
3. French Open (Time zone is better than the US)
4. US Open (Time zone means I can watch absolutely NONE of it - even the mens final which is shown late morning when I've already gone to work)

03-01-2004, 09:05 AM
crystal- really shouldnlt get me but they were just sooo biased in their scheduling and it was just stupid how much they favoured agassi and roddick...Do you remember how many rain delays there was...well there was a free court right, and instead of getting an actual match played they let roddick TRAIN on it was just insane but neway

its over ...moving on lol

03-01-2004, 09:30 AM
It's typically american...
(but, yes, ok, in france the french players play on the centre court, so maybe it's typicaly french too...) but in RG they don't put sono next to the courts !!!!!!!!

03-01-2004, 01:53 PM
ok esther
I knew they favoured americans player a little bit, but I didn't know the details....
So it's okay I hadn't to worry.... ;-)
thanks esther !

03-01-2004, 06:35 PM
but in RG they don't put sono next to the courts !!!!!!!!
What is sono?
