Question about Tuomas Ketola

Hey,

I know most of you don't care about this, but obviously Tuomas Ketola has hardly been playing anymore and it seems he has retired. My question is: is he coaching Juho Paukku now? Because they are in the doubles draw of a Future in Portugal this week, and Tuomas is not playing singles. It happens more often that a player and his coach, who is then a former player, play together (e.g. Kilsdonk, who is not officially retired but now coaches Elise, and Tamaëla on the WTA/ITF Tour, and of course Hewitt and Rasheed).

Just wanted to know if someone has some more definite info on this.

Thanks!

You are correct. Tuomas ended his enormously distinguished international career earlier his year. He kept himself available for Davis Cup doubles rubbers until the Macedonia tie and is now Paukku's official coach.

I'm waiting to see what effect this will have on Paukku's game.

Thanks ;) It was sad to see how Tuomas slipped down the rankings year after year, but he had a great career for someone hampered by lack of power. Great guy :worship:

Yeah, I saw that he played against FYROM.

Hopefully it will work out for him and Juho :yeah:

Yeah, it's about time Juho gets some advice from a world-class player like Ketola. :yeah: Paukku has a lot of potential, has a bit similar game to Jarkko Nieminen but a more fluent service action.
