Del Potro if he plays will be the clear favourite, as if he plays like he has this week in Basel then he should cruise to victory

Good to see you've mentioned Boggo as having a chance, although he has to play a lot better than he did this week in Nottingham though, where he seriously struggled. If he plays well, and gets a good draw, he could win this, but i'm not too confident about him doing too well

He needs a seeding really to make sure he avoids all the top players, but at the moment i think he is either the 8th or 9th best ranked player, so that would be great for him if he is seeded

Does anyone know the story behind McDuffee? He's never won a set in a main draw (even in Futures) and yet he's been handed no less than 7 Challenger main draw WCs in the last year!

I thought the Dee/Brighten/Lownsborough WC 'scandal' last year was pretty bad, but this is ridiculous!

I should add that I don't blame the players for things like this (if someone offered me a Challenger main draw WC, I'd probably take it too!), it's the tournaments that give them out that I wonder about.

Bizarre to see who the wildcards have been given to, as only 1 is given to a german, and Auckland and McDufee get wild cards, which I can't really understand. Auckland is a decent player, but unless they wanted him there to play doubles then I'm surprised he got a WC for singles

Not a great draw for Boggo though, as Cilic in round 1 will be a serious test for him, although at his best he probably has enough to win, and then Moodie in round 2 will be a tough match again, as he has had a good week in St. Petersburg

At least he avoided Sluiter in the QF's again, and is in the other half to Del Potro, but a QF will be a good result for him this week

Yes, it is a bit bizarre, but James is the defending doubles champion, so perhaps that counted for something. Can't say the same for McDuffee though!

I didn't know that, but thanks for the information, and I suppose that explains why he got the wild card

Not a bad draw for the Brits in the doubles, other than the fact they are in the same half as each other, which means they can't meet in the final.

Both Boggo and Auckland play tomorrow, so hopefully they can both get through, but they have tough draws, so they will need to play well to do so

Fine, now I want to see JMG's reaction after he placed that huge bet he was talking about.

I said my bookies didn't offer that bet. :(

Score and video didn't work for me  But his win was most important.
