In order to do that, he has to win Tokyo, either Madrid or Paris, reach R 16 in the other TMS, win Basel and reach the final in Shanghai. Looks difficult, but not impossible.

Glad to see in the letters column of the most recent Sports Illustrated that they published a letter (actually I belive it is the second- the first was after W 2005) where someone asked when are you going to put who could very well be the very best freaking male tennis player ever on the cover (this was after they had Ohio Sate as the main pic, and Mash as a wee pic after the USO).

They just printed it. Editor's responses in SI are quite rare.

I see. Well, at least we know that they are aware of the fact that there are peopl outside who would like to have a SI tennis cover, preferably Roger, but I think it would also be okay if they had Andy or Rafa on the cover, just to put the sport in the focus of a larger audience.
